The Fantasy Alarm Best Bets accurately predicted the Orlando Magic victory on Saturday. The Magic won 133 - 121, easily clearing the -1.5 spread. It was tempting to take the 1 - 10 win margin, but Orlando defeated the Knicks by double-digits less than two weeks ago. And did it again yesterday. The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards scored a combined 81 first quarter points, barely clearing the 62.5 total line.

A teased up rebounding line on Zach Edey was suggested and he delivered. He led the game in rebounds with 15. The teased up line was 10+, Edey even earned a double-double with 12 points in the Grizzlies victory. His +114 line ensured just over a unit profit yesterday. Proving once again that ‘two out of three ain’t bad’.

There are eight games today, beginning at 1:00 PM ET. Today’s best bets focus on a mix of straight bets and player props, but starts with a player prop with fantastic odds.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Sunday 11/23

Game Time: 7:00 PM ET | TV: League Pass | Location: Paycom Center | Odds: OKC -15.5 | O/U 233.5

Prediction: Deni Avdija 10+ Assists (+286 DraftKings Sportsbook)

A Northwest division classic takes place at the Paycom Center as the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Portland Trail Blazers. For us old hoop heads, we know this was once one of the greatest rivalries in the Association. When the Thunder were the Seattle Supersonics. Although they have moved this is still a rivalry, and it should be a high scoring match.

The Northwest division has four of the top nine Western Conference teams. As it happens Oklahoma City is first and Portland is ninth but Portland is playing better than their record indicates. That is primarily due to their budding star, Deni Avdija. If you aren’t familiar with the name, watch some highlights. He's entertaining, and what the kids call an “ethical hooper”.

Avdija is in his sixth season, and he is on track for a career year. He has three statistics that are much higher than his previous high marks; minutes per game (34.4), points per game (25.9), and assists (5.7). It is the assists that today’s NBA best bet focuses on.

Injuries to Shaedon Sharpe, Jrue Holiday, and Scoot Henderson have forced Avdija into a facilitator and a scorer. Some label it as a point-forward, but he is actively involved in most offensive production for Portland. He has recorded 13 and 11 assists since their backcourt was decimated, and has a great opportunity to record double-digit assists again.

The double-double line for Avdija is only +145, while the 10+ assists line is at +286. This is an example of betting smart paying off, literally. Put a unit on today’s best bet of Avdija to remain the facilitator, and dish out ten dimes.

San Antonio Spurs vs Phoenix Suns: Sunday 11/23

Game Time: 8:00 PM ET | TV: Local | Location: Mortgage Matchup Center | Odds: PHX -3.0 | O/U: 234.5

Prediction: PHX - 3.0 (-110 on FanDuel Sportsbook

The best game of the day takes place in “The Valley”, as the Phoenix Suns host the San Antonio Spurs. Two teams that have outperformed their expectations, and both have ten or more wins. The Mortgage Matchup Center is in for a treat, even without Victor Wembanyama, as this is the second closest projected game of the day.

The Suns enjoy a -3.0 spread and it is the second best bet of today. Both teams are on a win-streak, both teams score 119 points per game, and they both have a positive point differential. The Suns get the advantage because they have a better starting five while Wembanyama is out.

Devin Booker’s numbers are up compared to the Suns’ Kevin Durant era. As are Royce O’Neale’s. Dillon Brooks is playing the best offense of his career, and Mark Williams is healthy. Collin Gillespie is finally getting an opportunity to play, and he is making the most of it. In the last three games his per game averages are; 31.3 minutes, 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.67 assists.

The Suns are sneaky good in a competitive Western Conference. They are 7 - 2 at home, and only the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder have more Western Conference wins. Put a unit on this best bet today, and for readers who do not have a FanDuel account, make sure to take advantage of the promotion below.

NBA Prop Bet Today, 11/23

Luka Doncic Under 7.5 Rebounds (-102 FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Utah Jazz host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Delta Center in what is expected to be a 10 point victory for the visiting team. Los Angeles has the third best record in the Western Conference, and fourth best in the Association. Utah is 5 - 10 and a streaky basketball team. The Jazz played last night, and there is not any team information available until this afternoon. The expectation is for them to sit a few starters.

Luka Doncic is averaging his second highest assists per game, with 9.0. He is also averaging 8.6 rebounds per game, and both are results of him being healthier this season. However he has over 7.5 rebounds in just one of his last six games. The return of Lebron James paired with the rebounding skills of DeAndre Ayton and Rui Hachimura allow Doncic to play defense in the backcourt.

Doncic played 33 or more minutes in all but one of those games. It is not the lack of minutes contributing to the drop in rebounding. However a lack of minutes would benefit this best bet. He may not have to play the fourth quarter if this game becomes a blowout for the Lakers. Put a unit on Doncic to record less than 7.5 rebounds tonight.
