Happy Friday, June 17th everyone. As the work week comes to a close for many, there are winning MLB player prop plays to be had on Underdog Fantasy to kick your weekend off right! There is a great MLB night slate of weather and no concerns on our radar. We have some excellent pitchers in great matchups, such as Carlos Rodón of the San Francisco Giants and Carlos Carrasco of the New York Mets being good options in daily fantasy baseball lineups. Both pitchers should be MLB DFS top plays tonight. There are also some offenses in elite spots like the San Diego Padres going up against the likes of Colorado Rockies starter Kyle Freeland in Coors Field. The Philadelphia Phillies get Washington Nationals starter Paolo Espino and could be a popular MLB DFS lineup stack. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the weather report as we approach roster lock to make sure that stays the course. To get all the confirmed lineups across baseball, check out the MLB Lineups page. To get projections and to generate one or multiple lineups, take a look at our MLB daily projections and MLB DFS Lineup Generator. Now let's look at some MLB player props over on Underdog Fantasy for tonight's baseball action.

MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 17

Jake CronenworthOVER 1.5 total bases

Old reliable lately, Jake Cronenworth cracks the article again. What’s not to like here? There’s no reason we shouldn’t be returning to this well. Let’s talk through it, shall we? Over the last 10 games, Cronenworth is hitting .421 with eight extra-base hits over his last 10 games. He has four extra-base hits over his last three games and three multi-hit games over his last four.

When you start looking into the match-up, the first thing we have to bring up is that this game is being played in Coors Field. Thus far in Cronenworth’s career, he’s hitting .346 with a 1.108 OPS in Coors Field. He faces off against Kyle Freeland who has really struggled against left-handed hitters despite pitching from the left side, allowing a .303 AVG, .890 OPS, and .389 wOBA. On the flip side of this, Cronenworth himself is batting .295 with a .373 wOBA against southpaws. Freeland takes his 5.35 ERA and .304 BAA at home into this match-up and because of that, I love Cronenworth’s over here.

Jordan MontgomeryUNDER 4.5 strikeouts

We do have to respect how good Montgomery has been of late and really all year long, but he’s not a big strikeout arm. The Yankees lefty has a 2.70 ERA on the year, but he's averaging just 6.89 K/9 and a 19.2% K-rate as well. That is very underwhelming when facing an offense like the Blue Jays, who are as potent as they’ve ever been.

What’s making them so dynamic is obviously the power surge, but it’s the fact that essentially EVERYTHING is being put in play right now. Over the last two weeks, the Blue Jays have struck out just 16.7% of the time, which is the second-lowest mark in the league. They’ve had the third-most plate appearances and the third-fewest strikeouts. That’s very impressive. Line all of that up and Montgomery likely doesn’t miss that many bats in this matchup. Vegas is aligning with my thought process as well as multiple sportsbooks have the under favored for his strikeout prop.
