We have a massive 15-game slate on tap for Tuesday, June 14th. We have no weather concerns to worry about, we do have a weather boost in Wrigley Field with the wind blowing out. There are a LOT of juicy MLB plays on Underdog Fantasy for this slate too, and I’m taking a look at some of my favorite of the day. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the weather as we approach roster lock. To get all the confirmed lineups across baseball, check out the MLB Lineups page. Zach Davies OVER 16.5 outs

Over his last few starts, Zach Davies has looked like a different pitcher than he had looked earlier in the year. He draws a very solid match-up against a Reds offense that he just held in check five days ago. He’s now topped six innings in each of his last two starts and has thrown north of 100 pitches in each of those outings too.

On the road this year, Cincinnati ranks 29th in OPS and wOBA and is striking out 23.4% of the time. That’s right on par with their seasonal rate of 23% against right-handed pitching too. Davies has increased his strikeouts and limited the damage and base runners of late, which plays right into the over here.

Corey Seager OVER 1.5 total bases

The 2022 season has not been very kind to Corey Seager but it’s been largely due to luck, or the lack thereof. His average is .222, but the expected average is .288. His slugging% is .402, but his expected SLG% is .569. His wOBA is .298, yet a .384 xwOBA. The match-up he has is fantastic, as José Urquidy has really struggled this season. Against left-handed hitters this year, Urquidy has allowed a .324 AVG, .368 OBP, and .514 SLG%. He’s also been really, really bad on the road, and Globe Life Park ranks 10th in runs per game this season. His 6.61 ERA, .588 SLG%, and .412 wOBA on the road stand out and really makes me believe in the Rangers tonight, Seager especially.

Jake Cronenworth OVER 1.5 total bases

As the day has progressed, the higher this game total has risen to now that everyone realizes the wind is blowing out of Wrigley Field. When the wind is blowing out, the ball just travels and offense is usually on the forefront. Enter Jake Cronenworth who’s rolling right about now. Over the last 10 games, he’s slashed .361/.452/.722 with seven extra-base hits.

Cronenworth faces off against Kyle Hendricks, and left-handed hitters have crushed Hendricks all year long. This match-up won’t be much different. Lefties have hit .287 against Hendricks and also have a .950 OPS, and a .405 wOBA against him as well. Cronenworth’s month of June should continue to be very successful in this windy spot against Hendricks.
