Underdog Fantasy MLB Picks: Monday, 4/20

Kyle Bradish MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 5.5 Strikeouts

Kyle Bradish has been a bit shaky to start this season. The Baltimore Orioles’ right-hander has a 5.49 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over his first 4 starts. Even so, we can count on him to rack up strikeouts in tonight’s matchup against the Kansas City Royals

Bradish’s 3.08 xERA and 3.18 FIP suggest some positive regression and better outings moving forward. This is still the same pitcher who’s posted a sub-3.00 ERA in each of the previous three seasons, even while dealing with injuries. Today, he faces a Royals offense that’s struggled against right-handed pitching. They have a .298 wOBA (25th in MLB) and .222 batting average (26th) in the split this year.

More notably, Kansas City has been striking out a bunch against righties lately. Over the past week vs. right-handers, the lineup has had a 26.2% strikeout rate (3rd-highest in MLB) and .259 wOBA (dead last). It’s an ideal spot for Bradish, even on the road.

Bradish has an average 23.9% strikeout rate so far this season, but we’ve seen more swing-and-miss stuff in the past. He posted K rates of 37.3% and 32.5% in 2025 and 2024, respectively. The righty only had 4 punchouts last outing, though he struck out 7 and 6 in the two prior starts. Plus, for what it’s worth, Bradish owns a 28.4% strikeout rate in his career on the road compared to just 22.9% at home.

Michael Harris MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs

The Atlanta Braves are rolling right now, winning 9 of their last 11 games. The offense has also been among the league’s best lately. Let’s back one of those Atlanta hitters in today’s favorable matchup against the Washington Nationals and starter Jake Irvin

Michael Harris has a multi-hit game in 4 of his last 6 starts. The Braves’ outfielder is also batting .326 with a .936 OPS over his past 14 games overall. He has 15 hits, 7 runs scored, and 6 RBI in this stretch. Harris homered twice over the weekend against the Phillies while continuing to swing a hot bat.

Meanwhile, Irvin has a rough 6.16 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 4 starts this year. The Nats’ right-hander could be in trouble against a Braves offense that’s crushing right-handed pitching right now. As for Harris, he’s hitting .333 with an .887 OPS against righties this year. He also boasts excellent career numbers against Irvin, going 7-for-18 (.389) with a .950 OPS.
