Framber Valdez is coming off a complete game in his last outing, where he finished with nine strikeouts against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Today, he faces a Pittsburgh Pirates team with the fourth-highest strikeout rate against left-handed pitching at 27.2%. The Pirates also rank 24th in average, 26th in ISO, and 26th in wOBA against southpaws.

Valdez should have plenty of time to rack up the strikeouts in this matchup as he likely pitches deep into this game.
