The season is winding down, as we head into the final month of regular season action. There are plenty of Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers in the upper tier this scoring period for you to populate your team’s rotations with and even a handful of middle-tier arms to consider using for one or both of their Week 23 trips to toe the rubber. Another week with numerous SPs to avoid using despite their dual start status.

Instead of digging through the detritus of the bottom-tier two-start SPs, instead take a gander at the plethora of arms in the second portion of this article, and pick up one or more of these Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters to plug into your starting staff(s) as you continue to pursue your quest for a league trophy.

Please realize that these articles feature the most recent rotation information available at the time they are written, but circumstances can change due to weather conditions, injuries, and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies, but this article is meant to provide analysis; it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.

Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

There are a full 17 top-tier arms to plug into your rotations as the calendar turns to the final month of action. Take full advantage of your good fortune to have any of these hurlers available for your fantasy team to employ as we head to the final weeks of the 2026 Fantasy Baseball season. 

Bradley, despite striking out 11 A’s hitters, took the loss in his last appearance, allowing four earned runs and seeing his ERA rise to nearly 4.00 (3.97). He has been incredibly effective at missing bats, with a 10.3 K/9 rate over his 26 starts (169 Ks through 147.1 IP) and he gets to face two division rivals who are in the top half of teams in the MLB in terms of whiffing this coming week.

Wesneski has had one difficult outing while performing adequately in three of his other starts, up to his most recent 5.0 IP shutout effort against the visiting A’s. He is just a guy when it comes to strikeout production (7.2 K/9 through 27.2 IP this season to date), although his peripheral metrics do indicate that he is not pitching over his head with his relative success on the mound thus far into 2026.

Gusto has not lasted five innings in any of his last three games, although his efforts while on the hill have been useful: 2.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 12:2 K/BB rate over 12.2 IP. He has to take on the Royals in Kansas City, where they have been performing well, but does get to face the Cubs on home turf where he has been more effective this season; not that the Cubs have been easy pickings away from Wrigley Field this season by any means.

Webb suffered through a tough outing in Boston in his last time toeing the rubber, tossing 70 pitches over just 2.2 IP, and allowing five earned runs to the BoSox hitters. Prior to that, however, he was working on a four game consecutive QS streak, where he compiled a staggering 1.38 ERA and 0.81 WHIP over those 26.0 IP, and posting an attractive 21:3 K/BB ratio. On the downside, he does have two road contests lined up this coming scoring period, and his efforts away from Oracle Park have not been as impressive as when he is pitching on home soil.

Peralta has been a pleasant addition to the Tampa Bay rotation, tossing a pair of QS over his last four starts, including his recent two hit shutout of the host Tigers this past Wednesday. He has a home contest coming up against the visiting Mets, his better potential start in Week 23, as he has to hit the road for a game in Arlington to wind up the scoring period against a tougher opponent in the form of the Rangers.

Despite their false allure of dual-start status, you would be best served to leave these SPs on the bench should you have them on your roster, or let them languish on the waiver wire for you league opponents to be tempted to snap up. Instead of letting any of these arms hurt your ratios, look down below for potentially better options to use as streaming choices.

Potential Streaming Options for Week 23

There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. George Klassen, Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees

The rookie right-hander will carry a respectable 3.67 ERA into this contest, and he came within two additional outs against the visiting Guardian squad from collecting his third consecutive QS. The elephant in the room, however, is his bloated 1.63 WHIP, fueled by his 21 free passes handed out over his limited 27.0 IP.

Randy Vasquez, San Diego Padres @ Cincinnati Reds

The 27-year-old righty is coming off a shutout effort win against the visiting Pirate team, and has had a nice run over his last five appearances: 2.57 ERA, 0.64 WHIP over 28.0 IP, with a 3.0 K/BB rate (12 K, 4 BB). He has been more of a road warrior this season, so a trip to the Queen City to take on the Reds is not a bad place for this streaming option to be employed.

Jacob Lopez, Athletics @ Texas Rangers

Cody Bradford, Texas Rangers vs. Athletics

Here is a game where both SPs are worthy of consideration as a streaming starter for your fantasy team. Lopez, the 28-year-old southpaw has upped his game, tossing three consecutive QS and compiling a superior 2.33 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over his last seven outings spanning 38.2 IP. He has also been racking up the Ks, with 47 to his credit over that recent stint. He has also been effective when pitching away from his home park, as he will be in this contest.

The Rangers are also sending out a left-hander into this contest, although this hurler offers limited strikeout potential compared to the pitcher he is facing off against. He has a limited profile to examine, as he has started just four games this season for Texas. He has accumulated a nifty 3.05 ERA over his 20.2 IP, but the WHIP is inflated at 1.40, not due to lack of control (four walks thus far this season) but rather a propensity to give up hits, namely, 25 thus far in 2026.

David Peterson, Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers

After last Saturday's no-decision against the host Mariners, the veteran southpaw has collected three QS, all with the Cubs since he was acquired from the Mets. He is back in the rotation with Edward Cabrera landing on the IL, and he has fared well when toeing the rubber at Wrigley Field, as he will be doing in this tough matchup.

Grayson Rodriguez, Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees

The young righty has been pitching well over his last four starts, rolling up a 3.27 ERA with an even more impressive 1.09 WHIP over those 22.0 IP. He is striking out better than a hitter per frame in recent times, with a 10.2 K/9 rate during that series of games. This would be a better streaming option were he not pitching at home, but such are the vagaries of the schedule.

Dean Kremer, Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers

Drew Anderson, Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins

Another game where both pitchers have some cache to recommend their place in your Week 23 rotation. The former Oriole has seen his season take a definite turn for the better since joining the Twins in August. He has amassed an attractive 3.18 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in his last 22.2 IP, although he has just one win over those four contests with three no-decisions. He offers his fantasy owners decent if slightly below average K production.

On the Tiger side of the ledger, their converted reliever has been working on stretching out his arm, going deeper into games as has starts accrue. He has compiled a solid 3.57 ERA over his last 17.2 IP, with a 1.25 WHIP. He is a good source of Ks, although his strikeout rate has declined since he took on the role of starter, but over his last three starts he has whiffed nearly a batter per frame.

Rhett Lowder, Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres

Because he has a home start, he becomes a potentially useful streamer in this contest. He has just average K production on the season (7.0 K/9 rate over 107.0 IP) but he has improved his control over his recent action on the hill, posting a strong 2.1 BB/9 rate over his last 35.0 IP. The strong record at home, and the fact that the Padres are a below .500 team when playing away from Petco Park recommends using the second-year right-hander in this contest.

Cal Quantrill, Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The veteran righty is working on a 15 IP scoreless streak, extended by holding the visiting Halos scoreless over 6.0 IP on six hits and no walks this past Sunday. He has a tougher matchup here, as the Rays are playing above .500 ball this season away from the Trop. A below-average K producer with good control and a strong home record should help to overcome the negatives associated with facing Tampa Bay this season.

Blade Tidwell, San Francisco Giants @ Pittsburgh Pirates

The 25-year-old rookie had a superior effort go unrewarded with his first win of the season when the San Fran bullpen let him down, after holding the host Red Sox scoreless over 5.2 IP, his second start where he was just an out short of collecting a QS. He has shown no decrease in his pitching when on the road, so a game at PNC Park is no reason not to stream him.

Walker Buehler, San Diego Padres vs. New York Yankees

The veteran has notched three QS during which stretch he has also picked up a pair of victories. He continues to work at reducing his ratio stats, although his ERA is still bloated, sitting at 4.63 and his WHIP is still inflated at 1.35 through his 126.1 IP this season. The Yankees are a formidable opponent when playing away from Yankee Stadium, something to keep in mind despite the 32-year-old’s recent success on the hill.

Chris Bassitt, Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox

Since he was activated from the IL, he has been stingy with allowing runs and free passes: 3.06 ERA, four walks over 17.2 IP. The strikeout rate is pedestrian at 7.1 K/9 and the number of hits he has allowed has inflated his WHIP (1.30). He gets to pitch from his home mound in this contest, and his success rate has been significantly higher at Oriole Park at Camden Yards this season.

Zebby Matthews, Minnesota Twins @ Chicago White Sox

The third-year right-hander has been enjoying the month of August, posting a useful 3.57 ERA over his 22.2 IP during the eighth month on the calendar, together with a slightly-below average K rate of 7.5 K/9 and demonstrating good control, evidenced by his 2.4 BB/9 rate. It would be easier to promote this start if it were not on the road against a team that plays well in their home park.

Andrew Alvarez, Washington Nationals @ Los Angeles Dodgers

The second-year southpaw has lost the last three times he has climbed the hill, although his stat line suggests he deserves better results: 3.52 ERA, 1.11 WHIP. 8.8 K/9. Things do not get rosier for the youngster as he has to head to Dodger Stadium to take on the reigning World Champs, although he has been a road warrior this season thus far.

Ryan Johnson, Los Angeles Angels @ Pittsburgh Pirates

The young righty twirled an impressive scoreless 7.0 IP effort against the host Rangers, walking two and hitting one batter. He only struck out three Texas hitters in the effort, but he did collect both a win and a QS. It will behoove those who wish to plug the second-year hurler into their rotations to make certain the return of Yusei Kikuchi from the IL does not displace him from the starting rotation in Anaheim.
