MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Starting Pitchers
MLB DFS Top Pitchers
Cristopher Sanchez (PHI)
Analysis: Sanchez is an elite pitcher who is again having an incredible season. He owns a 2.65 ERA and 27.8% strikeout rate across 24 starts while maintaining an elite 58.2% ground ball rate and 5.6% walk rate. The matchup leaves a little to be desired from an upside perspective, as the Cardinals only strike out at an 18.1% clip versus left-handed pitching.
Dylan Cease (TOR)
Analysis: Cease has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, logging a 2.28 ERA in 21 starts. He strikes out as many as anyone in baseball, with his 36.4% strikeout rate ranking second among all qualified starting pitchers. He draws a matchup against a Red Sox team that has been among the best in baseball over the last month, but Cease has proven to be matchup-proof.
Hunter Brown (HOU)
Analysis: Brown has dealt with some inconsistency in his return from a shoulder injury that cost him more than two months, but there is plenty of reason for optimism tonight. He draws a plus matchup in an elite pitcher's park against a Giants team that traded away two of its better hitters at the deadline. He's put together three solid starts and has a great chance to log a fourth tonight.
MLB DFS Value Pitchers
Ryan Weathers (NYY)
Analysis: Weathers is a high-upside option with an elite matchup. In 22 starts, the lefty has posted a 3.79 ERA and 26.2% strikeout rate. The Mariners own a putrid 90 wRC+ against left-handed pitching, and they have struck out at a 23.7% clip.
Sean Burke (CWS)
Analysis: Burke has had a heck of a season for the surprise White Sox, posting a 3.08 ERA across 128.2 innings. His strikeout rate has climbed to an impressive 27.4% while the walks sit at an above-average 7.4%. He draws the best possible matchup for a right-hander, as the Reds own just an 87 wRC+ against righties while striking out at the highest rate in the league.
Cody Bradford (TEX)
Analysis: Bradford returned from 2024 Tommy John surgery just last week, and everything went well by all accounts. The lefty struck out five Giants across 4.1 scoreless innings. That swing-and-miss is something that has shown up throughout his rehab assignments as he has been working his way back to the big leagues. He posted a 33.3% strikeout rate in five rehab starts this season, and now he gets the best strikeout matchup possible for a southpaw.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Stacks & Hitters
MLB DFS Top Hitters
Junior Caminero (3B, TB) & Jonathan Aranda (1B, TB)
Analysis: Caminero has blossomed into one of the best hitters in baseball, and he has pummeled righties with a .282 ISO. Aranda owns an elite .375 wOBA and a strong .191 ISO against righties. They square off against a pitcher with a 5.56 ERA and 2.1 HR/9 allowed in one of the best hitters' parks in baseball.
Wyatt Langford (OF, TEX) & Corey Seager (SS, TEX)
Analysis: Both of these Rangers righties own an ISO above .200 against right-handed pitching this season. They will enjoy a significant park upgrade for offense out in Anaheim while facing a pitcher with a 7.11 ERA and 2.3 HR/9 allowed.
Corbin Carroll (OF, ARI) & Ketel Marte (2B, ARI)
Analysis: Carroll has again been an elite hitter, posting a .226 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. Marte has had a down season, but he is just a year removed from posting an elite .231 ISO against righties. They both benefit from the platoon advantage against Sugano, who has allowed a disturbing .308 ISO to lefties this season.
Gunnar Henderson (SS, BAL)
Analysis: Henderson has struggled mightily at times this season, but he still owns a .200 ISO against righties. Ober has been smashed by lefties to the tune of a .223 ISO and .238 xISO allowed.
MLB DFS Value Hitters
Joc Pederson (1B, TEX), Brandon Nimmo (OF, TEX), & Evan Carter (OF, TEX)
Analysis: These cheap Rangers make Texas one of the most appealing stacks of the day. Pederson is enjoying an incredible rebound this season and has had immense success against RHP, including a robust .248 ISO. Nimmo and Carter have more modest numbers, but the elite matchup and friendly price tags make them attractive targets as well.
Lars Nootbar (OF, ARI)
Analysis: Nootbar should hit in the middle of the D-backs lineup, and he draws an elite matchup against a pitcher who has allowed a .308 ISO to lefties. The bullpen behind Sugano isn't much better.
Christian Walker (1B, HOU) & Cam Smith (OF, HOU)
Analysis: Walker has crushed righties with a .253 ISO and Smith isn't far behind at .228 ISO. They are both flying completely under the radar today despite a matchup against a pitcher who has allowed a .268 ISO to righties.
Jackson Holliday (2B, BAL) & Leody Taveras (OF, BAL)
Analysis: Ober has a lefty problem, and these two Orioles are primed to take advantage from the middle of the order. Neither hitter has great numbers this season, but that can be overlooked due to the extreme value.

MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Hitters & Pitchers
| The "Chalk" (Popular) | The "Pivot" (Low Owned) | The Winning Logic |
| Cease (SP, chalk) | Bradford (SP, cheaper & lower owned) | Cease faces the Red Sox, who have been red-hot for more than a month. Save some money and play for the upside of the much cheaper and lower-owned Bradford in an elite matchup. |
| Rangers (Chalk) | Astros (pivot stack) | The Astros are flying under the radar despite owning a healthy implied team total (4.6). They face a pitcher with a 7.25 ERA and 14.3% walk rate who has allowed a 48.6% hard-hit rate. |
| Langford + Nimmo (chalk) | Walker + Smith (lower owned) | Whisenhunt has been knocked around in his limited time, allowing a .268 ISO to righties. Fair prices and elite ownership make these two Astros righties excellent pivots. |
