This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

We have an interesting slate in terms of pitching options.  10 of the 18 expected starting pitchers have either no history or very limited history vs hitters they will be facing today.  Feel free to get creative especially on DraftKings where you need to start 2 pitchers.

The lone high-end option today is Freddy Peralta.  The mid-range include Shota Imanaga and Dean Kremer and Ryne Nelson.  Paydown options include Emmet Sheehan and Keider Montero.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Shota Imanaga, Chicago Cubs - DraftKings $8,900 | FanDuel $8,900

Imanaga has posted back to back quality starts.  He enters Saturday with 2.65 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 48 Ks in 68 IP.

Imanaga enters this matchup against the Boston Red Sox with good but limited history against their hitters in the past.  He had one start against the Red Sox during the 2024 season.  He put up 47 FanDuel points and 26.7 DraftKings points.  Look for Imanaga to continue his success against the Red Sox today.

Freddy Peralta, Milwaukee Brewers - DraftKings $10,200 | FanDuel $9,500

Peralta has had arguably his best season so far in 2025.  He enters Saturday with 2.66 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 118 Ks in 112.1 IP.  

Peralta enters this matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers with decent history against their hitters in the past.  He already has one start against the Dodgers in 2025.  He put up 49 FanDuel points and 27.9 DraftKings points.  He had two starts against the Dodgers during the 2024 season.  He put up 18 and 15 FanDuel points and 9.3 and 6.2 DraftKings points in those starts.  Look for Peralta to continue his recent success against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Dean Kremer, Baltimore Orioles - DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel $8,500

Kremer has had an up and down season but has allowed one run or fewer in 4 of his last 5 starts.  He enters Saturday with 4.24 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 88 Ks in 108.1 IP.  

Kremer enters this matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays with decent history against their hitters in the past.  He already has two starts against the Rays in 2025.  He put up 49 and 30 FanDuel points and 29.4 and 17.7 DraftKings points in those starts.  He had one start against the Rays during the 2024 season.  He put up 49 FanDuel points and 27.9 DraftKings points.  Look for Kremer to continue his success against the Rays today.

 

 

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

It is an interesting slate for hitters.  We have a smaller sample size in terms of hitter vs pitcher history.  Feel free to mix and match your hitters across multiple lineups.

Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Colorado Rockies should be the front runners in terms of top teams to stack.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles - DraftKings $4,500 | FanDuel $3,400 

Henderson has continued his hot streak.  He has at least one hit in 6 of his last 7 games.  He has 3 multi hit games and 1 HR during this stretch.

Henderson has good history in the past against expected Rays starting pitcher Zack Littell.  He is 7 for 21 with 2 HRs against Littlell in his career.  Henderson looks like a solid one-of play for today’s slate.

Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians - DraftKings $5,700 | FanDuel $3,800 

Ramirez has tapped into his power as of late.  He has at least one hit in 6 of his last 8 games.  He has 3 multi hit games and 4 HRs during this stretch.

Ramirez has good history against expected Athletics starting pitcher Luis Severino.  He is 5 for 13 with 3 HRs against Severino in his career.  Ramirez looks like a solid one-of play or key piece of a Cleveland Guardians stack for today’s slate.

Giancarlo Stanton, New York Yankees - DraftKings $3,500 | FanDuel $3,100

Stanton has been solid since returning from injury.  He has at least one hit in 6 of his last 7 games.  He has 1 multi hit game and 3 HRs during that time span.

Stanton is 1 for 2 against Joey Wentz, the expected starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves.  Look for another strong performance out of Giancarlo Stanton and the New York Yankees lineup on Saturday.

Randy Arozarena, Seattle Mariners - DraftKings $4,500 | FanDuel $3,300 

Arozarena has been heating up lately.  He has hit safely in 5 of his last 6 games.  He has 2 multi hit games and 4 HRs during this time span. 

Arozarena has good history in the past against Astros expected starting pitcher Lance McCullers.  He is 3 for 8 vs McCullers in his career.  Arozarena looks like a solid one-of play for today’s slate.
