MLB Injury Report: Starting Pitchers
Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers - Shoulder
Glasnow is two rehab starts in, and the team has said he likely needs at least four appearances before being activated. His activation could come right after the All-Star break.
Brandon Woodruff, Milwaukee Brewers - Shoulder/Ankle/Elbow
Let’s try this again! Woodruff allowed four earned runs on four hits and three walks across 3.2 IP in a rehab start on Sunday. There’s a chance that he’s activated later this week and takes the rubber on Sunday for his season debut.
Sean Manaea, New York Mets - Oblique/Elbow
An oblique issue has interrupted Manaea’s 2025 season, but recently, discomfort in his elbow has popped up. Supposedly, the loose body in his elbow is seven millimeters in size, but they don’t seem too concerned at the moment.
Zach Eflin, Baltimore Orioles - Back
Eflin was removed from his last start after just 28 pitches with tightness in his back. It sounds like he'll be placed on the IL.
Nestor Cortes, Milwaukee Brewers - Elbow
Cortes is set to make a rehab start on Wednesday. He’s been on the injured list since early April with this flexor strain.
Jordan Hicks, Boston Red Sox - Toe
Hicks should be activated on Monday and join the Boston bullpen. Hicks was acquired from San Francisco as a part of the Rafael Devers trade.
MLB Injury Report: Hitters
Wyatt Langford, Texas Rangers - Oblique
An oblique strain will send Langford to the injured list. Through the first 67 games of the year, Langford was hitting .232 with 13 home runs and 11 stolen bases. Alejandro Osuna figures to play a lot against RHP, while Sam Haggerty gets some starts against LHP.
Jeremy Pena, Houston Astros - Rib
UPDATE: The Astros reported that further imaging revealed a rib fracture. He will go on the IL.
Pena is day-to-day with a sore rib after being hit by a pitch on Friday.
Nolan Arenado, St. Louis Cardinals - Finger
Arenado jammed his finger during Sunday’s game, but they don’t believe it’s serious. Consider him day to day at this juncture.
Kerry Carpenter, Detroit Tigers - Hamstring
Carpenter was removed early from Sunday’s game with hamstring tightness. Consider him day-to-day until more information is revealed about the extent of the injury.
Bryce Harper, Philadelphia Phillies, Wrist
Today (Monday) is the first day that Harper could be activated for the Phillies. He hasn’t played since June 5 due to inflammation in his wrist. Alec Bohm and Otto Kemp have handled most of the 1B duties while Harper was out.
Shea Langeliers, Athletics, Oblique
Langeliers was activated from the injured list on Monday. He last played on June 5 and will return to be the Athletics' primary backstop.
Luis Robert, Chicago White Sox - Hamstring
Robert hit the IL over the weekend with a hamstring strain. The team’s top trade candidate is slashing .185/.270/.313 on the season with eight home runs and 22 stolen bases.
Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles - Oblique
The team is hoping that Rutschman’s return isn’t too long after the All-Star break. The star catcher is dealing with an oblique strain.
Gabriel Arias, Cleveland Guardians - Ankle
Arias suffered a left ankle sprain on Sunday, but an MRI on Monday will likely reveal the true extent of the injury. Fortunately, the X-rays were negative!
Masataka Yoshida, Boston Red Sox - Shoulder
Yoshida has been recovering from a labrum tear in his right shoulder, but he’s expected to embark on a rehab assignment on Tuesday.
Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins - Hamstring
Lewis should be activated prior to Tuesday’s game against the Marlins. Despite going 0-for-8 across three rehab games, he’s healthy, and the Twins are hoping he can help the lineup.
Jordan Walker, St. Louis Cardinals - Appendicitis
Walker could return right around the July 4 holiday, as he began a rehab assignment over the weekend.
