Bello has looked like an entirely different pitcher since his start against the New York Yankees, owning a 2.25 ERA and an opponents batting average against of just .188. The change in Bello's effectiveness on the mound comes as he changed his pitch mix to include a cutter which has really helped him limit hard contact and is a pitch that he pairs well with his hard sinker which he uses to generate ground balls.

Tonight he draws a home start against a Rockies offense that continues to rank towards the bottom of the league in most offensive categories and for Bello, he's only allowed more than 5.5 hits in just one of his last four outings since making this change to his arsenal.  I'm expecting him to keep his strong stretch going in this matchup tonight and limiting the damage done by the Rockies.

 

 

 

Nick Kurtz MLB DraftKings Pick6 Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBI

It's hot, it's humid and the wind is blowing out in Sacramento this evening. All of this is GREAT news for Nick Kurtz as he will step into the left-handed batters box this evening against Braves righty Didier Fuentes. Another reason to be excited for Kurtz this evening is the horrid numbers that Fuentes has against left-handed hitters this season. Yes, it's a small sample size but on the year Fuentes is allowing a .360 average with a .680 slugging percentage to lefties while giving up 3.0 HR/9.

Kurtz is a big powerful dude and this ballpark is the best offensive ballpark in baseball this season. Let's look for Kurtz to cash this with one swing of the bat this evening.
