DFS Stacks Thursday August 10th

Oakland A’s vs Wade Miley

Ryon Healy, Khris Davis, Rajai Davis, Marcus Semien, Matt Chapman

Wade Miley has been abysmal this season but he has held his own against southpaws.  Right-handed hitters however have been a completely different story as they are hitting .305 with an OPS of .876 off Miley this season.  The A’s top bats all swing from the right side and while Oakland is a better pitchers park than hitters park this should still be a short night for Miley.

New York Yankees vs Marco Estrada

Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Didi Gregorius, Brett Gardner, Todd Frazier

Estrada has been hammered in his last two starts against the Yankees, allowing 13 earned runs over 8.1 innings.  Estrada has allowed two home runs in each of those contests which should not be too surprising seeing has he is allowing the second most fly balls this season and the Yankees power hitters have little trouble putting the ball in the air and out of the stadium.  Estrada is just 4-7 with a 5.12 ERA this season and I suspect that ERA will be climbing after tonight.

Houston Astros vs Carlos Rodon

Jose Altuve, George Springer, Alex Bregman, Marwin Gonzalez, Yulieski Gurriel

While Rodon has certainly pitched well of late he will have quite the challenge on Thursday as he faces off against the Houston Astros.  The Astros as a team rank 4th in batting average and 2nd in OPS against southpaws this season.  The Astros also have George Springer back in their lineup after a stint on the DL which only makes their lineup more potent.  If Rodon is unable to miss bats he could be in for a short outing.

Miami Marlins vs Tanner Roark

Giancarlo Stanton, Marcell Ozuna, Dee Gordon, Derek Dietrich, Christian Yelich, J.T. Realmuto

I am just not a fan of Tanner Roark and while he has pitched a little bit better of late he still owns a 4.82 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP this season.  The Marlins have already gotten to Roark once this season when they tagged him for six earned runs over 2.2 innings back in June.  There is also some solid BVP numbers here in favor of a Marlins stack which could be low owned tonight given the other gas cans on the mound this evening.
