We had just three afternoon games yesterday to make part of our MLB expert picks, but today, almost the entire slate is afternoon games! Among those is the finale of the World Series rematch of Dodgers vs. Blue Jays, which got off to a bang. The same could be the case for MLB picks today, as we’ll see Shohei Ohtani back on the mound!

Speaking of California squads, we’ve got two of the other ones in coast-to-coast matchups with Pennsylvania teams. That would be the Padres vs. Pirates and Phillies vs. Giants series, and while we won’t see Paul Skenes, we do have the opportunity to make MLB predictions on Aaron Nola.

In fact, we may see plenty of picks on cross-country clashes, as we also have Diamondbacks vs. Mets and A’s vs. Yankees! So, let’s see if any of the series noted so far make the cut for our MLB best bets today!
 

 

 

🔥 Astros vs Rockies Best Bet: Houston -1.5 (+100 at Novig)

It’s not quite one of the first games of the day, but you still won’t have to wait as long as usual for a game in Colorado. First pitch is at 3:10 PM ET, and there’s just no way that the Astros get swept by the Rockies, right? We’re willing to trust Houston with our MLB best bets today, going against Michael Lorenzen.

They’ve got plenty of experience with the former Los Angeles Angel, but it will be interesting to see if the Astros mix up their lineup order again.
