Red Sox vs. Yankees Predictions

It's an elimination game for the home team Yankees tonight after they dropped the opener in the best of 3 against their rivals, the Red Sox. The good news for New York is that Garrett Crochet is not pitching again, and instead it’ll be Brayan Bello on the mound for Boston, and the Yanks' bats could do so damage against him!

Bello had a very good season overall with a 3.35 ERA and 1.24 WHIP but recently he’s fallen into a funk as in September through 5 starts he had an ERA of 5.4 with 23 hits allowed, 15 earned runs given up and 12 walks on 25 innings pitched. Those kinds of numbers will get him in trouble against a Yankees team that closed the final 2 weeks of the season with a .203 isolated power mark and a league high .343 BABIP. 

The Boston offense is also completely anemic right now, as you saw yesterday, and the month of September, the hitting just isn’t there. In the past 2 weeks, they have been hitting for an isolated power mark of .124, and now they’ll get Carlos Rodon the lefty pitching for the Yankees. Rodon has been lock down for the past 2 months and most of the Red Sox lineup really struggles against lefty pitching so give me the Yankees to win tonight in a big way and cover the Run Line as the Money Line is just too chalky.
