Marlins vs. Cubs Prediction

After yesterday’s game was called off due to inclement weather, I’m going right back to the Marlins vs. Cubs matchup to start off today’s MLB predictions. In the 6 home games the Cubs have played this season, they have been scoring an impressive average of 7.33 runs per game, which is the highest in MLB by a significant margin.

I firmly believe that they will continue to maintain these outstanding numbers tonight, especially considering the favorable matchup against the Marlins. AJ Puk is scheduled to pitch for Miami this afternoon, but his stats have not been impressive so far with an ERA of 5.91 and a WHIP of 2.44.

The Cubs have been performing exceptionally against left-handed pitchers, making the team total of 4.5 seem quite low. This is a great opportunity to place a bet on the Cubs to score more runs, especially since you can get favorable odds on this wager. Finally, I’m also adding a player prop for this game, especially since the Cubs offense is expected to dominate.

Christopher Morel is a solid choice, hitting 4th for the Cubs with a line of 1.5 set for his Hits+Runs+RBIs. He has exceeded this number in 4 out of 6 home games this season, making it a smart bet with great odds. Let's capitalize on this opportunity and win big!

Orioles vs. Royals Prediction

It’s a matchup tonight of two of the most fun teams to watch in this MLB season so far, and the numbers are really pulling me towards a wager on the game total. The Royals at home this season have been putting up runs with ease with 6.1 scored per game. That ranks 3rd in the MLB as things stand right now.

On the Baltimore side, they take a slight dip in run production with home/road splits, but they are still posting 5.67 runs per game! This has led to the Orioles going over the total at a record of 11-5-2 on the season and, seeing the starting pitching that’ll be going tonight, I don’t see it slowing down. The Royals are sending out Alec Marsh this evening and while he is 2-0 on the season, his ERA is 4.32 and has allowed 7 runs in the last 9.2 innings pitched.

For Baltimore, it’ll be Dean Kremer and in his last outing, he gave up 10 hits and 8 runs total. The number on the game total of 9 just makes too much sense to me given these offenses, so let’s hit the over. I will also be adding a player prop to today’s MLB picks focused on a Baltimore batter!

Athletics vs. Guardians Prediction

What better way to close out MLB best bets for today than by picking on the Oakland Athletics? If you’re going to play a bunch of minor leaguers, I am going to come at you, and with the way the Guardians have been scoring runs, it's easy to plug them in.

Over the past 5 games, Cleveland has scored 5 or more runs in 4 of those contests and now they’re back at home against the worst team in the American League! As you could’ve guessed already, I am betting on the Guardians to win the game, but also on them to score a handful of runs in the process.

Joe Boyle will start for Oakland and while he has had two decent starts coming into tonight, they were against the Tigers, who can’t hit a beach ball, and the Nationals, who are awful themselves. Boyle also relies a bit on strikeouts and seeing as Cleveland is 9th fewest in strikeouts per game, I will be taking all Guardians on my betting card this evening.
