The time has come to add another league to the ranks of the Summer split! The LCK kicks back off on Wednesday with four teams linking to hit the ground running! The biggest teams are actually in the LPL though with LNG and V5 both heavy favorites in their matchups and looking to finish stronger in Summer than they did in spring. Look for explosive plays and huge score lines from either of these teams but that comes with huge price tags for their players. Who is worth it and who can be picked up for value? Let’s dive in and break it all down!

League of Legends Fantasy Value Breakdown
Series #1: LNG Esports v Anyone’s Legend
Game Breakdown: If there is something you can lean into, it is LNG performing against bad teams. In their first match, against BLG, they went 2-1 and had big performances from both Doinb and Light. I loved the aggressive picks, especially Light’s Lucian pick. Light will need to make sure he is performing at a high-level landing against AL’s Betty and QuiQui. This pair almost single-handedly was responsible for dismantling Rare Atom in the opening series of the split. A possible opening for the AL side is actually in the top lane with Zdz, who went 6-2-12 in that series and kept his lane opponent irrelevant throughout the match.
Favorite Picks: Light (LNG: $12,300/$8,200), Doinb (LNG: $8,000), LNG Esports ($5,800)
Value Picks: Zdz (AL: $5,200), QuiQui (AL: $4,800)
Cann’s Match Pick: LNG Esports (2-0)
Series #2: TT Gaming v Victory Five
Game Breakdown: Of all the matches on the slate, this should be the most one-sided. V5 was my pick in Spring to win the Split and had a more talented roster than RNG and TES. V5’s ADC (Photic) was the highest producing player in Spring and there is no reason TT has the tools to slow him down on Wednesday. I love Karsa here too and his ability to work different jungle paths to gank for his lanes. While I don’t think it’s particularly close, Ucal is a decent mid-laner and could be a shining spot for a TT looking to grab some wins against one of the LPL’s best.
Favorite Picks: Photic (V5: $12,000/$8,000), Rookie (V5: $11,700/$7,800), Karsa (V5: $7,200)
Value Picks: Ucal (TT: $6,000), Southwind (TT: $4,400)
Cann’s Match Pick: Victory Five (2-0)
Series #3: Kwangdong Freecs v Hanwha Life Esports
Game Breakdown: There is something about HLE being a pretty mediocre team now that makes me sad. There really isn’t any reason that this should end in a 2-1 score line outside of the fact that I have seen the Freecs find new and creative ways to hurt themselves in draft/game. KDF has two solid damage dealers (Teddy and FATE) and great support pieces in Ellim (jungle) and Hoit (support). When this team gets an early lead, we see them snowball pretty hard but they can struggle if they give up early advantages. SamD (ADC) is the sole hope for HLE in this matchup, so expect a lot of fireworks in the bottom lane.
Favorite Picks: Teddy (KDF: $7,800), Kiin (KDF: $6,600), Hoit (KDF: $5,600)
Value Picks: SamD (HLE: $9,600/$6,400)
Cann’s Match Pick: Kwangdong Freecs (2-1)
Series #4: DRX v Nongshim RedForce
Game Breakdown: This is arguably the most exciting of all the matches because both teams' ceilings should be relatively similar. NS started red hot at the beginning of the Spring Split but, just as he did for DWG, Ghost disappeared later in the split. NS will need him to consistently produce to have better results in Summer. DRX had a slower, albeit more boring, approach to the game compared to their opponents. They drag out the landing phase as long as possible to give Deft and Zika as long as possible to scale into later game power. DRX is a stronger team in the landing phase but we can look to NS trying to be more explosive in the mid-game to break those defenses.
Favorite Picks: Deft (DRX: $7,400), Pyosik (DRX: $6,400), BeryL (DRX: $5,200)
Value Picks: Ghost (NS: $7,000), Bdd (NS: $6,800)
Cann’s Match Pick: DRX (2-1)
