College Basketball PrizePicks CBB Top Picks November 7

Armando Bacot, North Carolina – OVER 29.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Armando Bacot is back at North Carolina and he enters the season as a preseason first-team All-American for the top-ranked team in the AP Top 25. After leading UNC to the title game a year ago, Bacot has a ton of hype this year and it all gets started tonight in an easy matchup against UNC Wilmington. Bacot averaged 16.3 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game last season and should slightly improve upon those numbers for the 2022-23 campaign. He went over 29.5 combined points/rebounds/assists numerous times last year and is a nightly threat to post a 20-point double-double. In UNC's lone exhibition game, he racked up 20 boards with 12 points and three assists. The UNC Wilmington is undersized and won't be able to contain Bacot in the paint tonight.

Jacob Toppin, Kentucky – OVER 12.5 Points

Kentucky has a few key injuries tonight and it could lead to a ton of scoring opportunities for Jacob Toppin and others. Oscar Tshiebwe and Sahvir Wheeler are both expected to be out, which opens up plenty of shot attempts and offensive usage. The Tshiebwe absence directly benefits Toppin's playing time and role in the Kentucky frontcourt. He just scored 21 points in an exhibition game last week without Tshiebwe and Wheeler. Toppin has also scored 27, 12, 10, and eight points in UK's other exhibition matchups, but some of those included one or both of Tshiebwe and Wheeler in action. Plus, Daimion Collins might also be out which would lock Toppin into even more playing time. Toppin spent last season as a bench player, but he's ready to step into a much bigger role for the Wildcats and it starts tonight in a soft matchup against Howard.

Pelle Larsson, Arizona – OVER 15.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Pelle Larsson is a popular breakout candidate among college basketball experts everywhere. Well, let's bank on the breakout beginning tonight in this easy matchup against Nicholls State. With Bennedict Mathurin, Dalen Terry, and Christian Koloko all off to the NBA, Larsson is expected to take on a ton of offensive usage and playmaking responsibilities this season for Arizona. He was a role player off the bench last year, but he's no longer backing up a lottery pick in Mathurin. Larsson has 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in 20 minutes of a recent exhibition game. That usage and heavy involvement bodes well for him to go over 15.5 combined PRA tonight.

Ryan Nembhard – UNDER 11.5 Points

First off, Ryan Nembhard is a phenomenal talent and one of the best point guards in the country. So, don't be surprised if he goes off for 20+ points tonight. However, we're still backing the under on his total points for a couple of reasons. Creighton brings in South Dakota State transfer Baylor Scheierman to share backcourt and playmaking duties with Nembhard. Plus, the Bluejays still boast a ton of talented scorers in Arthur Kaluma, Ryan Kalkbrenner, and Trey Alexander. This team is loaded and there's a reason why they're a top-ranked squad. Still, Nembhard might take a backseat scoring-wise more often than not while playing the point. Plus, he's coming off a season-ending injury last year and his playing time/workload could be managed in these easy matchups of November. Nembhard scored just five points in Creighton's exhibition game while the four other starters were in double figures.
