TOP CBB DFS GUARDS

Jalen Pickett - Penn State @ Texas ($10.1K DK/$9.0K FD)

Jalen Pickett, Penn State’s first All-American in nearly 70 years, enters today’s matchup with Texas averaging 17.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. He’s looking to become the third player in the last 30 years to average at least 17/7/6 in a single season (joining Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine in 2015-16 and Memphis’ Penny Hardaway in 1992-93). He is always a triple-double threat and with a 29.1% usage rate and 27.1% shot rate to go along with 40.4% assist rate (third in the nation). Pickett is the top overall spend up on the slate.

Tyger Campbell - UCLA vs. Northwestern ($7.9K DK/$7.0K FD)

I will continue to ride a sub-$8K Tyger Campbell until he gives us a reason not to. He may come in lower owned today since his price is rising and he played limited minutes on Thursday due to the blowout, so sign me up. Campbell is averaging 15.6 points and 4.2 assists over his last five games with a 28% usage rate (30.50 DKFP) and should be back to 30+ minutes.

OTHER TOP GUARDS

  • Jahmir Young, Maryland ($7.8K DK/$6.8K FD) - Pace-up game against a tough Alabama team but Young is a big usage guy (29% on the season) and will get his points.
  • Kobe Brown G/F, Missouri ($8.5K DK/$8.0K FD) - Brown and Hodge are a coin flip and both will be popular in the highest scoring game of the slate. Brown has 39+ DKFP in two of his last three games and gets a little better matchup than Hodge. This is a main lineup-type play.
  • D’Moi Hodge, Missouri ($8.6K DK/$8.2K FD) - Brown and Hodge are a coin flip and both will be popular in the highest scoring game of the slate. Hodge is shooting so well and now has three straight 37+ DKFP games, and should be four after today.
  • Sir’Jabari Rice, Texas ($7.2K DK/$6.5K FD) - Rice’s price keeps rising but he is so good and playable in any format. He is putting up 18.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game with 28% usage over his last five (27.40 DKFP).
  • Amari Bailey, UCLA ($6.9K DK/$6.0K FD) - This kid has been unreal and playing 30+ minutes for the Bruins with two straight 30+ DKFP games. One of Campbell or Bailey will be in my lineup.
  • Matt Bradley, San Diego State ($6.0K DK/$5.8K FD) - Bradley is a textbook “boom or bust” play and is coming off one of his best games of the season where he put up 17 points and seven rebounds on Thursday (34 DKFP).

TOP CBB DFS VALUE GUARDS

Tyrese Hunter, Texas ($4.9K DK/$5.1K FD) - I am so happy to see Hunter, who was a stud freshman at Iowa State last year, playing well again. He is playing all of the minutes that he can and has established a solid 4-5X floor with five 20+ DKFP in his last eight games.

Josiah-Jordan James, Tennessee ($5.9K DK/$5.4K FD) - JJJ has not been playing well but when he is now sub-$6K you must at least take a look. He has scored 18+ DKFP in five of his last six games but we need at least 24 to make value. Interesting spot here for the Vols guard who did play 33 minutes against Louisiana-Lafayette.

David Singleton, UCLA ($5.7K DK/$4.9K FD) - With Jaylen Clark out for the season Singleton continues to play big minutes and seems to have settled on a 4-5X floor.

Jahmai Mashack, Tennessee ($4.8K DK/$4.6K FD) - Mashack gets a price bump of $700 but he’s still a solid value for a great defensive guard that plays 30 minutes.

Andrew Funk, Penn State ($5.1K DK/$5.3K FD) - Funk is a shot-reliant guard that is coming off a career game where he scored 27 real points on Thursday (40 DKFP). GPP-only since he does not offer many peripherals.

Don Carey, Maryland ($4.3K DK/$4.4K FD) - Another shot-reliant starter but if he gets hot from beyond the arc, we have a 7-8X player.

Sean East II, Missouri ($3.9K DK/$4.1K FD) - East II is an interesting punt play that has played 28+ minutes in two of his last three games. His price has now dropped to sub-$4K which makes it fairly safe to hit 4X value, but I wouldn’t expect much more.

Matt Allocco, Princeton ($6.3K DK/$5.0K FD) - Allocco gets a huge discount on FD making him a main lineup type play at $5K. He plays all of the minutes that he can handle and is capable of 5-6X his FD price.

TOP CBB DFS FORWARDS

Tosan Evbuomwan - Princeton @ Missouri ($8.6K DK/$7.9K FD)

The Tiger offense runs through Evbuomwan and after leading the team in scoring ten times, he ranks first on the team in points with 15.0 points per game (fourth in the Ivy League) on 52.7% (eighth in the conference), and steals (22). He is among the Ivy League’s top ten in assists (4.8), rebounding (6.2), and assist/turnover ratio (1.6). Tosan did everything in the upset over Arizona and now has four straight 32+ DKFP games. If this game stays close that means he is heavily involved, and Mizzou is not big and will struggle on the boards.

Jarace Walker - Houston vs. Auburn ($7.5K DK/$6.5K FD)

Jarace Walker is the Houston X-factor. He is Houston’s second-leading scorer (11.1 points per game) and rebounder (6.6 per game). Walker also has the third-best assist rate on the team (12.2%), and shoots 34.4% from three-point range. With 1.02 points per possession (63rd percentile nationally) these are good numbers for a freshman logging a lot of minutes for one of the best teams in the nation. Houston’s big man, who was rated as the No. 2 power forward out of high school last year was Auburn’s top frontcourt recruiting target and now gets to face the team that recruited him so heavily.

Dylan Disu - Texas vs. Penn State ($6.9K DK/$6.8K FD)

Starting with the Baylor game seven games ago, Dylan Disu has emerged as a consistent offensive weapon in the post. The physically gifted two-way big man has shot-making ability from multiple levels of the offensive halfcourt and loves to drive to the basket with authority.  There is no questioning Disu’s finishing ability around the rim as he led the Big 12 in field goal percentage (inside the arc) this season, at a clip of nearly 65%. At a season high price point ($6.8K on DK) Disu may come in under owned today but that is just fine for a player that has put up 29 DKFP in four straight and now gets to face a Penn State interior that we have been picking on all year.

OTHER TOP FORWARDS

  • Jalen Wilson, Kansas ($9.4K DK/$8.7K FD) - Wilson still scored 20 points in the blowout over Howard. Now he should be back to nearly 40 minutes and can nuke any slate as a walking double-double machine.
  • Jamie Jaquez Jr. G/F, UCLA ($9.6K DK/$8.6K FD) - The Big Ten Player of the Year has one of the highest floors in the country. Jaquez Jr. plays every minute possible and gets a great matchup against Northwestern.
  • Julian Reese, Maryland ($7.8K DK/$6.8K FD) - I absolutely love the play of Reese. Alabama is a tough matchup, but I am not afraid to play the sophomore who is absolutely nuking in a pace up game.
  • Derek Lively, Duke ($6.6K DK/$6.3K FD) - Lively is coming off a six-block game and has at least two blocks in every game dating back to mid-January. He flies right under the radar and has dipped below 20 DKFP only once in the last month.
  • Noah Carter, Missouri ($6.2K DK/$5.2K FD) - Carter will be popular today at a discounted price after a 26 DKFP game in the opener. If he picks up the start again, he will be projected with even higher ownership making him a nice GPP fade.

TOP CBB DFS VALUE FORWARDS

  • Jaedon LeDee, San Diego State ($5.4K DK/$5.2K FD) - LeDee, a senior transfer, struggled during parts of the season, but has now become a bonafide March menace. He burned Utah State for 13 points and ten rebounds (28 DKFP) and then scored eight points with ten boards and a couple of blocks on Thursday (28 DKFP). I love this play today.
  • Charles Bediako, Alabama ($5.3K DK/$5.5K FD) - With Brandon Miller’s groin issue Bama will need Bediako against Maryland. He averaged over 30 DKFP in the SEC Tournament and put up 27 DKFP in only 16 minutes on Thursday. Bediako is one of the top overall values today.
  • Makhi Mitchell, Arkansas ($5.8K DK/$5.4K FD) - We saw what Robert Jones did to the smallish Kansas interior and that squarely puts Mitchell in play with his 30% combined rebound rate. He has now put up three games of 24, 37, and 23 DKFP and if he pushes the 30-minute mark, Mitchell will hit 4-5X value.
  • Christian Bishop, Texas ($4.6K DK/$4.5K FD) - Bigs versus Penn State has been a thing all season so why stop now. With 31, 15, and 19 DKFP over his last three in limited minutes, I have no problem taking a shot with Bishop today.
  • Garrett Hien, Furman ($4.9K DK/$4.6K FD) - Hien has 20 DKFP in two of his last three games and is a contrarian value this afternoon.
