2022 Player Outlook

After leading Florida in rush yards in 2021 with 574 yards and 13 touchdowns, Dameon Pierce now enters an ambiguous backfield in Houston where he has the chance to overtake Marlon Mack and Rex Burkhead as the lead back. While that would normally be a good thing, Houston will likely be playing from behind most of the time, limiting the amount of touches Pierce should see. Houston ranked 25th in negative game script in 2021, and they're still very much in rebuild mode. Pierce may end up being a flex play if he overtakes the backfield, but there are too many unknowns at this stage to place your confidence in him.
