2026 Fantasy Football Player Profile

2025 Season Recap

Kenneth Walker III was a foundational piece of Seattle's Super Bowl championship run in 2025, providing the ground game foundation that allowed Sam Darnold to operate effectively in play-action. He rushed for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns on 221 carries across all 17 games and was consistently productive in a system built around establishing the run. He was then traded to Kansas City this offseason, joining Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid in what is now a very different situation.

2026 Fantasy Outlook

This situation in Kansas City is genuinely fascinating. Walker comes in as the consensus RB10, and Andy Reid historically gets remarkable production from his running backs, and the Chiefs have signaled a more run-heavy identity in 2026. If Mahomes returns fully healthy from his ACL and LCL tear and the offense shifts back toward a pass-first approach, Walker's volume might not hit the ceiling we are projecting. But if Kansas City commits to the ground game the way they have suggested, he is a legitimate RB1 for the season. The Andy Reid factor alone makes this a first-round pick worth taking.
