2022 Player Outlook

Jones had a solid but rather uneventful rookie season in 2021, completing 67.6% of his passes for 3,801 yards with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. The Patriots offense was much more reliant on the running game and looked for Jones to be more of a game manager than expect him to go out there and be the engine behind the offense. Year two however should come with different expectations with Jones coming into mini-camp noticeably better shape than his rookie season and he will have a few new offensive weapons to work with following the Patriots trade that landed them Devante Parker from the Dolphins and their use of a second-round pick on downfield burner Tyquan Thornton in the NFL Draft. The big mystery this season surrounding the Patriots offense is more on the coaching staff with Josh McDaniels no longer the offensive coordinator after taking the head coach job in Las Vegas.
