2024 Player Outlook

Depending on what side of the aisle you were on last season, Williams either proved you very right or very wrong. Coming off of a torn ACL, there was plenty of reports that Williams was ready to go and would be a big part of the Broncos offense. Instead, he ended up being rather limited to begin the season, the Broncos offense really struggled and then Williams himself just wasn't all that effective as he rushed for 774 yards and three scores while adding 47 receptions for 228 yards and two touchdowns while averaging just 3.6 yards per carry. Now another year removed from the knee injury the Broncos offense is set to look a lot different in 2024 with Russell Wilson no longer the QB and receiver Jerry Jeudy now in Cleveland. The starting QB job in Denver will be a battle between first round pick Bo Nix, former Jets QB Zach Wilson and last years backup QB Jarrett Stidham. What does this mean for Williams? Well, likely some inconsistency as a struggling offense won't be good for fantasy value. That said, we have to be encouraged by his pass game usage as we know offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi loves to utilize the running backs in the passing attack so in PPR formats maybe he ends up a low-end RB2 / RB3.
