2022 Player Outlook
There's no denying that Cam Akers has an extraordinary story. After tearing his Achilles while training for the 2021 season, Akers rehabbed quickly enough to see the field again at the end of the regular season. However, although his recovery is miraculous, the results on the field were a little less so. During the playoffs, Akers averaged only 2.57 yards per attempt on 67 carries through four games. The backfield in LA is a full-blown running back by committee, so if Akers can't improve his average, he'll likely lose a few snaps in 2022.
