2025 Season Recap
Justin Herbert was cooking in 2025. Through nine weeks he was the QB2 in all of fantasy football. Then Joe Alt went down, the offensive line fell apart, and Herbert spent the rest of the season running for his life, finishing with 3,727 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions across 16 games. He still made the playoffs, still added a career-high 498 rushing yards, and still showed everyone that when this guy has protection, he is elite. The line situation just cannot happen again.
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Both Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater are expected back healthy in 2026, and new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel is bringing a scheme built around getting the ball out quick and letting the quarterback operate in rhythm. That is a perfect fit for Herbert's skill set. He is the consensus QB9 and we think that is too cheap. When he was fully healthy last season, he was a QB2. Give him a clean pocket again and a full year in McDaniel's system, and a top-five finish is completely realistic. This is one of our favorite values at the quarterback position heading into draft season.
