2023 Player Outlook
The Chase Claypool trade last season did not have the immediate impact the Bears had hoped and, even worse, the pick ended up being 32 overall. However, the jury is still out as injuries to both Claypool and Justin Fields led to only one game where both played played 63% of the snaps or more. And, in that game, Claypool did catch five of six targets before exiting with a knee injury. In 2023 he'll have a chance to compete with DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Cole Kmet for the focus of Justin Fields.
