2024 Player Outlook

Minshew is getting a crack at his first full season as an NFL starting QB as he signs with the Raiders this offseason. Yes, there are reports that he will be competing with Aiden O'Connell for the starting role but early consensus here is that Minshew will have to be really outplayed for this not to be his job in Week 1. That said, what do we expect? We've seen both the good and bad with Minshew under center. The “Minshew Mania” that took the league by storm when he was with the Jaguars was gone as quickly as it came and last season with the Colts he was average at best. His advantages in 2024 come with the fact that he gets to throw the football to Davante Adams who is capable of making most QB's look good. The Raiders also have Jakobi Meyers, a sure handed safety net for Minshew and they went and drafted the best tight end in college football last season in Brock Bowers. Minshew is a QB2 in fantasy football for this upcoming season and could be a waiver priority if “Minshew Mania” is revived.
