2022 Player Outlook
When healthy, David Montgomery was one of the few running backs in the league that occupied a full, three down role. In fact, only Najee Harris's 84% snap share was higher than Montgomery's 75%. There are only two problems with that going into 2022. First, is that Matt Nagy is out and the new coach, Matt Eberflus, might not split the work the same way. The second is that Justin Fields is touted as a mobile quarterback who, historically, tend to throw to the running backs less and can vulture goal line work. Just look at the situations in Buffalo and Philadelphia.
