2024 Player Outlook

Things were looking good for Dawson Knox. He was the starting tight end for the Bills, good buddies with Josh Allen, and he just received a three year, $29.5 million dollar contract. And then, in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bills decided to select Dalton Kincaid. Kincaid profiles as a better pass catcher than Knox and, despite them splitting snaps to some degree, came in a set the Bills record for receptions in a season as a tight end. The best case scenario for Knox now is that the Bills run a split similar to the Eagles a few years back with Knox in the inline Dallas Goedert-type role and Kincaid operating out of the slot the way Zach Ertz would. But the reality is that Knox likely needs an injury to Kincaid to have any sort of upside.
