2022 Player Outlook

Jared Goff's first year on a rebuilding Detroit Lions team went about as well as anyone expected. He finished the season as QB24 with 3,245 yards and 19 touchdowns, and his yards per attempt was the lowest since his rookie season. One positive of last season is that he did manage to get a career-high in completion percentage, so not all is lost. The Lions added D.J. Chark and Jameson Williams to help fortify their receiving options, and Goff will also get back T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift to start the season. The Lions have the fifth-easiest strength of schedule this year, so if Goff's weapons can stay healthy, he could be a sneaky superflex option.
