2022 Player Outlook
While Ryan Tannehill technically finished as a QB1 in 2021, his rushing touchdowns were what kept him in that tier. As a passer, Tannehill ranked 24th in deep ball attempts, 25th in air yards per attempt, and 31st in deep ball accuracy rating. You can argue that those numbers were due to the unavailability of A.J. Brown and Julio Jones for different parts of the season as well as the rickety offensive line, but no matter the reason, Tannehill did not perform well on a game-to-game basis. The Titans did add Robert Woods and rookie Treylon Burks to their receiving corps, but unless they trend towards a more pass-heavy offense, Tannehill is a risky weekly starter in 2022.
