2024 Player Outlook

2023 Outlook: There’s no guarantee that he’ll make the club right out of spring training, but Holliday (the Orioles’ number one prospect and son of former big leaguer Matt Holliday) is expected to get the majority of playing time at shortstop for the O’s this season. Holiday has tremendous plate discipline, having just four more strikeouts (130) than walks (126) in his minor league career.

2024 Outlook: His .320/.449/.490 career minor league triple-slash shows he can handle the stick. It might take him some time to develop his big-league power bat, but he has all the makings of a future five category fantasy baseball star. With the Orioles having expressed interest in having a left-handed batter who can fill in at second base from time-to-time Holliday is expected to get some reps at the keystone this spring.
