2022 Player Outlook
India enjoyed a nice 2021 season, hitting .269 with 21 home runs, 98 runs scored, 69 RBI, and 12 stolen bases. His 11.3 percent walk rate helped push his on-base percentage to .376 (xOBP in 89th percentile). A big key for his success was his ability to punish fastballs, to the tune of a .324 batting average and 49.6 percent hard-hit rate. Given how much he abused fastballs, I would expect opposing pitchers to feed him fewer fastballs in 2022, but if not, India will just build upon 2021's success into an even bigger 2022 campaign. His floor in 2022 is essentially a repeat performance of his 2021 campaign, but I wouldn't be surprised to see India get to 25+ home runs and 10-15 stolen bases, alongside a healthy amount of runs scored.
