2022 Player Outlook
Dalbec did what he does best last season, and that is hit home runs. He got off to a slow start with a .219 first half batting average but finished strong with a .269/.344/.611 second half triple-slash. Unfortunately, he still struck out 31.3% of the time in the second half. Dalbec’s barrel rate (20.2), LA (17.3), FB% (43.1), EV (92.4) and massive 6-4, 227lb frame demonstrate that he’s built to hit home runs. Unfortunately, his high strikeout rate (34.4) and inability to hit right-handed pitching (.212 BA vs righties last season) will likely limit his overall fantasy production. He’ll hit his fair share of home runs in 2022 but he’ll likely drag down your fantasy team’s batting average while doing it.
