2022 Player Outlook

As it stands right now Ruiz is slated to be the starting catcher for the Nationals this upcoming season. We saw him play 29 games in 2021 with 23 of those being with the Nationals. During his 23 game stint he hit .284 with nine runs, two home runs and 14 RBI. Ruiz entered 2021 as the #53 prospect in the MLB per Baseball America and had himself a strong minor league season, hitting .310 with 21 home runs and an OPS of .993 over 72 games before getting the call-up.  He is currently being drafted as a Top 10 catcher in fantasy baseball drafts with an ADP of 172.3.
