2023 Player Outlook
Michael Kopech was used as a reliever in 2021 as he came back from a long absence due to injury (Tommy John and more). Last year he was eased back into being a starter again and there were glimpses of the stud pitcher everyone has been expecting as his ERA (3.54) and WHIP (1.19) were just fine, but a 21.3% strikeout rate still has to be concerning. He had dominant days but then had starts where he was just average. The White Sox are still expecting a star to emerge here, but will it be in 2023 or beyond?
