2022 Player Outlook
Anderson continues to prove himself as one of the more well-balanced and productive shortstops in the game with every passing season. He's posted a .300-plus batting average for three-straight seasons, showing off skills to prove that it wasn't just luck with a high BABIP. He's hitting more line drives, using his speed to get on-base, despite a 55.3-percent ground ball rate and he is posting a higher exit velocity on his fly-balls as well. His home run power continues to trend towards the 20-plus range and his stolen bases are following suit. Had he not missed more than 20 games due to a pair of IL stints, he would have finished the season as a 20-20 hitter. There is no reason to believe he can't build off last season's production and improve on it this season if he stays healthy.
