2022 Player Outlook
2021 was not the season fantasy managers had in mind when they used early round draft capital on Lindor in his first season with the Mets as he struggled for the majority of the season to hit his weight. Ultimately, he finished the season hitting .230 with 73 runs, 20 home runs, 63 RBI, 10 stolen bases and an OPS of .734. We saw Lindor have a career worst strikeout rage and his BABIP was also a career low .248 as he really struggled to make hard, consistent contact. If you are a believer in the metrics then we should expect some level of a bounce back from Lindor this season as a .248 BABIP is very hard to repeat and that should be somewhat encouraging for fantasy managers who are willing to take the plunge on a bounce back season. Lindor is currently being taken among the Top 10 shortstops in fantasy with an average ADP of 57.3.
