2023 Player Outlook
Turner’s power indicators and run creation metrics have been trending down lately as his SLG has decreased in four of the last five seasons and his wRC+ has decreased in three of the last four seasons. Turner hit just 13 HRs last season after hitting 27 the season before, but he’s still got a little power left in his bat as evidenced by last season’s career-high 36 doubles. It’s only 310 feet down the left field line in Fenway and with Turner being a right-handed hitter, we might see a slight bounce back in his power numbers this season.
