Rogelio Armenteros underwent surgery on Friday to have a bone spur removed from his right below.
The right-hander is expected to miss four months. He was shut down from throwing by the astros due to elbow and shoulder pain in February, and now he won't be able to pitch until July, at the earliest. The 25-year-old was expected to work in Triple-A to begin the year, but it's a loss to the Astros' pitching depth. Mar 14 12:16 pm (EST)
