Josh Donaldson (calf) is not on the Twins' roster for their Wild Card matchup against the Astros.
Donaldson left Friday's game with a right calf cramp and apparently just doesn't feel ready to go. It's disappointing news, though Byron Buxton (head) is a go for the series. As previously reported, prospect outfielder Alex Kirilloff is also on the roster, possibly as an insurance policy for Buxton. Kirilloff will be making his major league debut when he gets into a game. Another notable absence on the roster is reliever Jorge Alcala, who posted a 2.63 ERA with 27 strikeouts and eight walks over 24 innings during his rookie campaign. Sep 29 11:19 am (EST)
