2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Fantasy managers who were in need of speed in 2023 will likely look upon Bae's 2023 season quite fondly, as he stole 24 bases in just 111 games for the Pirates last season. However, his .231/.296/.311 slash line isn't overly impressive, and his expected statistics don't point to much optimism with the quality of his contact. He hits a ton of ground balls and doesn't make as much contact as someone with his offensive profile likely should. 

2024 Outlook: Bae displayed some reverse splits last season, and he'll be competing with the likes of Liover Peguero for at-bats at second base, but his flexibility could also grant him some time in the outfield. Speed is his calling card for fantasy managers in 2024, but to begin the year, his path to regular at-bats is a bit blocked, lowering his fantasy appeal. Should he get full time at-bats, he can help your fantasy team with speed, but outside of that, I wouldn't bank on much.
