2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: A .270 average was better than league-average for last year, but it’s hard to be excited about it on the heels of a .326 season in 2022. The counting stats were solid once more across the board. However, McNeil was doing it with a bit of smoke and mirrors having a lower EV, max EV, Brl%, and Hard-Hit rate than 2022 leading to an xBA of .246 and xSLG of .333. 

2024 Outlook: McNeil is the type of player we like to call a baseball player. He does a little bit of everything well on a baseball field. The counting stats will be solid again, though not spectacular in any one category and the slash line will be above average but again not spectacular. He fills in well at 2B for fantasy teams as a mid-to-late-round option but won’t be the star of the team in any way.
