Brent Honeywell (elbow) underwent a decompression procedure on his right ulnar nerve on Wednesday.
The procedure was performed in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, and it removed scar tissue from the area of the nerve. It's another setback for the right-hander who missed all of 2018 after undergoing Tommy John surgery, and missed the 2019 campaign after he required an operation for a fractured elbow while rehabbing. The 25-year-old hurler will begin strength and mobility exercises starting on Monday. A pitcher with five pitches that he can locate and miss bats with, Honeywell has stuff and command that's ready to pitch in the majors. There's a very good chance that he'll begin the delayed campaign on the injured list, so that opportunity may not occur until 2021. May 21 1:25 pm (EST)
