By this point in the WNBA season we are used to our WNBA DFS slates having multiple games with multiple start times, but even by those standards, Sunday’s slate is a bit extreme. All four games start at different times, ranging from 3:00 pm ET to 7:30 pm ET.

The good news for us is most of the injured players on the slate have already been ruled out, and the big name who is questionable, Sabrina Ionescu, plays early. We should know her status before any of the games lock. That being said, we still have to be conscious of the different starts. I nearly put Zia Cooke in our WNBA DFS Playbook, but we just cannot wait that long to learn if Layshia Clarendon is playing. Early news on Clarendon would change things but as it stands, I think it would be too difficult to pivot away from Cooke if we find out after half of the games have started that Clarendon is in fact active. Just keep that in mind when you’re setting your lineups. The fewer players you have from the late games, the less flexibility you will have when late news breaks.

WNBA DFS Picks September 3

Guards

Courtney VanderslootNYCHI930029.77710029.02
Vandersloot has averaged 35.3 fantasy points in 30.5 minutes in three games against her former team. I'll feel better about starting her if Sabrina Ionescu is out, but she should be playable either way.
Natasha CloudWASLA830028.06630027.40
I think there is a big dropoff at the position on both sites after Cloud. With Elena Delle Donne back but still on a minutes restriction, Cloud is the only Mystic I really trust at her price. She may not win you your contest but she won't lose it, either.
Ashley JoensPHOMIN38001.8835001.80
Jones isn't going to keep shooting 100 percent from three, but she could continue to see more minutes. Phoenix has little to play for and Joens played a season-high 13 minutes Thursday.
Sug SuttonPHOMIN740018.01550017.04
I am wary of overpaying for two great games, but there is no denying the minutes and usage are available. Minnesota has been a good matchup for opposing guards all season and Sutton is much cheaper than teammate Moriah Jefferson on FanDuel.
Arike OgunbowaleDALIND1020035.49790034.34
Ogunbowale is averaging 40.30 fantasy points in two games against the Fever, and she has at least 34 fantasy points in six of her last seven games. She is by far the safest guard on the slate, though it won't be cheap to roster her.

Marine JohannesNYCHI590013.83460012.67
We are no longer getting the great discount we got last week, but nobody else in her price range is likely to top 20 fantasy points, which is what Johannes is averaging in four starts. If Sabrina Ionescu is out again, Johannes is a solid play on both sites.

Morgan BertschCHINY45008.7749008.42
Bertsch has averaged a modest 16.0 fantasy points in 20.8 minutes in four starts, but she had 21.75 fantasy points in 26 minutes last time out. With Alanna Smith out again, Bertsch looks like a solid punt play despite her increased price.
Tianna HawkinsWASLA660019.1520018.84
Hawkins should return to the starting lineup with Shakira Austin out Sunday. Hawkins has averaged 23.4 fantasy points in 20 starts this season and I would be quite happy with that production at her price.
Azura StevensLAWAS860022.8610023.23
Stevens still isn't as consistent as I would like, but she is averaging 30.3 fantasy points in her last five games, with at least 21.5 fantasy oints in each of those. She has 31.4 fantasy points in two games against Washington this season.
Napheesa CollierMINPHO1160040.4910040.69
Breanna Stewart has played fewer than 28 minutes in two of her last three games, and that is enough to make me take Collier, especially on FanDuel. Collier has played at least 37 minutes in four of her last five games, with at least 46 fantasy points in all four of those. The Lynx still haven't clinched a playoff spot so I expect Collier to continue to play heavy minutes at least until they do.
Michaela OnyenwerePHOMIN610017.22540016.71
Onyenwere matched her season high with 35 minutes at Connecticut Thursday. That didn't exactly translate into fantasy production, but she could see similar minutes Sunday with Diana Taurasi and Sophie Cunningham out. Onyenwere has averaged 22.8 fantasy points and 23.3 minutes in three games against Minnesota and she has been 5.1 fantasy points better on the road this season.

Aliyah BostonINDDAL1040033.28780034.13
Boston doesn't consistently reach the highs of the truly elite forwards but her floor is arguably as high. Boston has at least 32 fantasy points in 10 of her last 11 games. She is averaging 40.1 fantasy points in two games against Dallas.
