Our streak of WNBA DFS slates with relatively good health appears to have come to an end. Several prominent players are dealing with injuries, and most of them are questionable. I would try to save at least a few lineup spots for the two late games because a lot could change depending on how the news breaks.

Sabrina Ionescu didn’t participate in shootaround but she is still listed as questionable. Satou Sabally is probable, but she basically replaces Natasha Howard, who is out. Jessica Shepard is also out, which should mean another start for Dorka Juhasz. The last questionable player is Aliyah Boston, and her absence would probably bring the most uncertainty. NaLyssa Smith may get more minutes and shots, but there is a good chance her efficiency would take a hit. So long as Indiana avoids experimenting with Victoria Vivians at the four again, there should be some nice values on Indiana if Boston is out.

WNBA DFS Picks September 1

Courtney VanderslootNYCON900029.94660029.15
Vandersloot has been great against Connecticut, averaging 38.6 fantasy points in three meetings. She has been slightly better this season when Sabrina Ionescu has missed time, and I think the rest advantage will be especially huge for New York's veterans.
Marine JohannesNYCON480013.44470012.31
Johannes is averaging 19.0 fantasy points in three starts. She has only averaged 26.6 minutes, which limits her upside, but she should provide nice value if Sabrina Ionescu is out.
Tyasha HarrisCONNY490010.58450010.33
Harris has played at least 20 minutes in all three games with DiJonai Carrington out, averaging 17.9 fantasy points. She could play even more if Connecticut falls behind or if they rest some of the starters.
Kelsey MitchellINDDAL880026.36700024.82
Mitchell has the lowest usage of her career and her fewest fppg since 2019. I think she'll get a lot of the shots that would have gone to Aliyah Boston, but she might not even need them. Mitchell has scored at least 25.5 fantasy points in eight consecutive games.
Arike OgunbowaleDALIND1020035.49760034.33
She scored 45.0 fantasy points in her lone game against Indiana and she is averaging 6.4 more fantasy points on the road this season. Ogunbowale has at least 34 fantasy points in five of her last six games.

Crystal DangerfieldDALIND690018.37500018.33
Dangerfield has quietly scored at least 19 fantasy points in six of her last seven games. With Natasha Howard out, I like that run to continue one more game.

Emma CannonINDDAL470011.3420010.49
Cannon has averaged 19.3 fantasy points in three starts. She is a strong value play if Aliyah Boston is out.
Awak KuierDALIND54007.3551007.81
Kuier will presumably stay in the starting lineup with Satou Sabally returning but Natasha Howard going out. Kuier has averaged 30 minutes and 21.6 fantasy points in her two starts.
Dorka JuhaszMINATL730019.13560019.35
Juhasz probably doesn't offer as much value as the cheapest tier, but her price hasn't completely rebounded to pre-injury levels. She has at least 21 fantasy points in three of her last four games, but she is a better cash game play in this slate.
Napheesa CollierMINATL1130039.77880040.07
Atlanta is last in fantasy points allowed to forwards. Collier has averaged 48.0 fantasy points in two games against the Dream and I believe she is much safer with Dorka Juhasz back in the starting lineup.
Olivia Nelson-OdodaCONNY590011.41400012.13
This may be confirmation bias, as I have wanted Nelson-Ododa to play more ever since Brionna Jones went down. Nelson-Ododa has played at least 21 minutes in each of her last two games, averaging 21.9 fantasy points. With Connecticut basically locked into the three seed and having played Thursday night, I like Nelson-Ododa's chances to play 20+ minutes again Friday.

Jonquel JonesNYCON960028.32640027.26
Jones is one of the only mid-tier forwards I feel good about. She is averaging 33.2 fantasy points against her former team and she averaged 34.5 fantasy points in the three games Sabrina Ionescu has missed.
Breanna StewartNYCON1190047.06960047.73
Stewart is averaging 50.3 fantasy points in three games against Connecticut, and she is nearly six fantasy points better at home this season. They'll have a huge rest advantage as well.
Monique BillingsATLMIN580011.91430011.84
Billings has played at least 23 minutes in three straight games, topping 18 fantasy points in two of those. She is playable on both sites but I think she's a better value on FanDuel.
Cheyenne ParkerATLMIN1070030.84830031.55
Parker has scored at least 44.5 fantasy points in four of the five games Nia Covvey has missed. The other was against the Aces. Parker is sixth in the league in fantasy points per minute and she has played at least 28 minutes in all four games that weren't against the Aces.
