Dream vs. Fever Predictions For WNBA On NBATV, 5/20

The 2025 WNBA season may have technically tipped off last Friday, but it may as well have been Saturday afternoon. That’s because it was the Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese rivalry renewed, and it delivered.

Indiana came out on top in a big way with a 35-point victory in their quest to prove oddsmakers right, who have set their win total to a whopping 30.5 wins this season! Caitlin Clark had a triple-double in the process, and she’ll be looking to do the same against a Dream team that she had back-to-back games against.

This first one will be at home, where they beat Atlanta twice last season. In fact, they took down the Dream in all four matchups last year! Along with a hot start, the Dream vs. Fever odds have Caitlin Clark significantly favored. Of course, we’ll provide more value than just an Indiana win for the best bet from our Dream vs. Fever predictions.

Atlanta Dream: Brionna Jones Debut

If you followed us for the Fever’s season opener, then you saw that we highlighted that they loaded up their roster in the offseason. Well, they were far from the only team, and the Dream made a nice addition as well. That was Brionna Jones, who formerly had great success with the Connecticut Sun.

She was with them for their runs to the WNBA Finals in both 2019 and 2022. She picked up right where she left off with the Sun, recording a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in her debut, which included five assists to boot. However, it was all in a loss, so it still wasn’t a perfect debut for Atlanta.

Indiana Fever: DeWanna Bonner Makes History

There’s no doubt that just about every headline regarding the Fever this year will be about Caitlin Clark, and rightfully so. So, while we have the opportunity, let’s shed some light and give some flowers to an all-time great - DeWanna Bonner. She was one of the aforementioned Fever additions this offseason, and she’s already delivered.

She delivered in her first game with Indiana by not just helping them get the win, but by making WNBA history! She may have scored just seven points, but it was all she needed to move into third all-time! There’s a very, very long way to go for ANYONE to ever catch Diana Taurasi, but second place is still well within her sights.

Dream vs. Fever Best Bet: Brionna Jones Under 7.5 Rebounds (Use Player Picks For PrizePicks Fantasy Lineups)

With all eyes on Caitlin Clark looking to open the season with back-to-back triple-doubles, including oddsmakers, this is a chance to grab value elsewhere. Specifically, with the road team for even better prices.

Look, the Dream opening their 2025 campaign with a loss to the Washington Mystics - who began 2024 with a double-digit loss streak - doesn’t bode well for them upsetting Indiana. However, with the approach that we’re taking for our Dream vs. Fever predictions means that we don’t care about a winner at all.

Instead, we’re only concerned about Indiana boasting the frontcourt they added over the offseason. Alongside DeWanna Bonner is an amazing center in Aliyah Boston, and with Natasha Howard also in the mix, we expect them to prevent Brionna Jones from recording another double-double with rebounds.

This line is a bit inflated in our opinion with her solid season debut and Angel Reese’s performance against the Fever on Saturday. However, Jones has historically struggled against Indiana, and in a big way.

With the Sun last year, she faced the Fever in the playoffs, where she recorded just six rebounds across TWO games. Even in the regular season, there were four matchups against the Fever, and she never recorded more than four rebounds.

That was even before this new-look Indiana squad, so we’re confident locking in the best bet from our Dream vs. Fever predictions on Brionna Jones under 7.5 rebounds (target more plater projections at PrizePicks).
