Anaheim Ducks vs Montreal Canadiens Prediction
In their last matchup, these two teams combined to score a total of 11 goals. However, given that both teams are at the tail end of a back-to-back schedule, we shouldn’t expect another high-scoring game. Jacob Fowler has been confirmed as the starter for the Canadiens, and he performed exceptionally well in his first start since being recalled. Lukas Dostal is likely to start for the Ducks. Although he has a 9-10-1 record on the road, his overall performance is better than his numbers at home. Both teams are expected to create scoring opportunities, but the solid goaltending on both sides should keep the final score under 6.5 goals.
- Ducks/Canadiens UNDER 6.5 goals (+110 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Minnesota Wild Prediction
The Toronto Maple Leafs are doing everything they can to ensure they finish in the bottom five of the standings to avoid sending their first-round pick to Boston. They managed to earn a point yesterday in Buffalo, but if it weren't for Joseph Woll's outstanding performance, the outcome would have been very different. Minnesota lost 4-2 to the Rangers, but Igor Shesterkin had an incredible game in goal. If New York brings that same level of energy into their next game, they will likely dominate the Leafs. We're taking the Puck Line here and not looking back.
- Minnesota Wild -1.5 (+105 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Florida Panthers vs Seattle Kraken Prediction
There is significant value in betting on the Seattle Kraken that shouldn't be overlooked. Although they are playing the second game of a back-to-back, the Florida Panthers are in town and are severely impacted by injuries. Sam Bennett is out, Sam Reinhart didn't even join the four-game road trip, and Brad Marchand is still not ready to return. Additionally, Seth Jones and Aleksander Barkov have been out for an extended period.
While I realize the Kraken have struggled to score, and fatigue may be a factor, there is no justification for the Panthers being favoured in this matchup. I'm going to place a half-unit bet on Seattle and hope for a positive outcome.
- Seattle Kraken Money Line (+114 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks
Â
Goalie of the Day: Jesper Wallstedt - MINÂ
The goalie options aren’t ideal tonight, so you might have to pay up for Jesper Wallstedt. The Leafs are missing Auston Matthews, and the rest of the team is likely ready to hit the golf course, as they have nothing to play for. They delivered a disappointing performance in Buffalo. Even though it's a back-to-back game, Wallstedt has the best chance of securing a win.
Â
Honourable Mention: Joey Daccord - SEA
Joey Daccord has been struggling in his last three starts, giving up 13 goals and not winning a game since March 2nd. The Panthers are currently dealing with many injuries, which gives even a mediocre team like Seattle a chance to compete. Daccord has a favourable price and a solid matchup, so if you're willing to take the risk, there's potential for a positive outcome.
Â
Player of the Day: Kirill Kaprizov - MIN
Kirill Kaprizov has scored 38 goals this season, with 25 of those coming at home. The Maple Leafs have struggled significantly, and Anthony Stolarz has had a rough season. Toronto's defence is weak, which means Kaprizov will have plenty of quality opportunities to score. I’m more than willing to invest in him for an elite matchup like this.
Â
Honourable Mention: Connor McDavid - EDM
It's challenging to overlook Connor McDavid when he's playing at home. As the best player in the world, he is averaging 21.3 fantasy points at Rogers Place, so ignoring him could be a costly mistake. The Predators may not be a strong team, but they should still be able to score a few goals against Connor Ingram, which means the Oilers will likely need to score five goals to secure a win. McDavid is definitely worth the investment; you just need to find a way to fit him into your lineup.
Â
Value Play of the Day: Jake McCabe - TOR
We need to explore some discount options to afford both McDavid and Kaprizov. While Jake McCabe may not impress you with his offensive skills, he averages over 20 minutes of ice time per game and has recorded seven blocked shots in the last two games. The Maple Leafs are likely to be heavily outplayed, so if they want to stay competitive, they will need to block a significant number of shots. We’re willing to take our chances with McCabe.
