🔥 Tampa Bay Lightning vs Minnesota Wild Prediction

This matchup features two strong hockey teams. Tampa Bay is 10-3-2 this season, but they are just 2-3-2 on the road. Their goaltending has been subpar, with both goalies having save percentages below .900, despite the team allowing fewer than 25 shots against per game. Even after a break, it's puzzling why they come into tonight as the favorites.

Minnesota is playing the second game of a back-to-back, and Calvin Pickard is confirmed to start in goal. The Wild are 5-0-1 at home, and their power play ranks in the top 10. Pickard doesn’t need to be outstanding to secure a win; he just needs to perform well. We see good value in backing the Wild, so that’s the direction we’ll take.

 

🔥 San Jose Sharks vs Dallas Stars Prediction

We will not be betting on the San Jose Sharks tonight; I’m not falling for that trap again. Instead, we're going to focus on a player prop, and no, it’s not Macklin Celebrini. We're looking at Alex Nedeljkovic in goal.

His save total is set at 23.5, which is unusually low given how many shots the Sharks typically allow. Nedeljkovic has exceeded this total in all six of his starts this season, and his performance tends to improve on the road. Since this game is the second in as many nights for the team, Nedeljkovic is unlikely to be pulled even if he struggles. Therefore, we’ll take the over and hope the Stars unleash a barrage of shots on goal.

🏅Goalie of the Day: Pyotr Kochetkov - CAR

You can't go wrong with Pyotr Kochetkov in cash games. He has an impressive record of 10 wins, 1 loss, and 0 overtime losses, along with a .921 save percentage. The Chicago Blackhawks rank as the worst team offensively, and they might not score any goals in this match. While Kochetkov's potential for a big performance is limited by the low number of shots he may face, if you're aiming for a win, this opportunity is as good as it gets.

🏅Honourable Mention: Ilya Sorokin - NYI

I know the New Jersey Devils are known for high-volume shooting, but Ilya Sorokin at $7,000 on DraftKings is too good to pass up. The Russian goaltender has performed better at home, with a 4-2-0 record and a .921 save percentage. Meanwhile, the Devils are starting Jake Allen, who has a high goals-against average of 4.31 on the road. I don't expect this to be a high-scoring game, so Sorokin has a good chance of achieving value even without securing a win. He’s an excellent option for GPP lineups.

🏅Skater of the Day: Leon Draisaitl - EDM

Don’t get it wrong—Connor McDavid is definitely a strong choice tonight, but so is Leon Draisaitl. The German player has accumulated 31 points this season and has been taking a lot of shots on goal recently. He can score and assist, making this matchup an excellent opportunity for him. Additionally, Draisaitl may have slightly lower ownership, so if that matters to you, consider selecting him instead.

🏅Honourable Mention: Nathan MacKinnon - COL

The next-best elite superstar available, aside from the Oilers players, is Nathan MacKinnon. The Colorado forward excels on home ice, and he has a favourable matchup against a struggling Detroit team. He is likely to get plenty of quality scoring chances, and if he converts a few, he will exceed expectations.

🏅Value Play of the Day: Alexis Laferriere - LAK

I'm really intrigued by Alexis Laferriere tonight. He's moved to center and is playing between Artemi Panarin and Adrian Kempe, arguably the team's two best players. Over the last five games, his shot volume has been impressive, averaging close to four shots per game. The Penguins have lost four straight games and are 1-6-1, struggling defensively and allowing too many goals. This creates a great opportunity for the Kings' top line to make an impact. Laferriere is a viable option for all formats.

🏅Top Stack of the Day: EDM PP1

It's no surprise that Edmonton's top power play unit is the top choice today. You can select any three players from that unit for your lineup. If you'd rather not go full three-man stack, consider a mini-stack with Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard.
