NHL Best Bets for January 13th

Anaheim Ducks at Tampa Bay Lightning

We've come to the halfway point for many teams in the NHL and it took some time but the Lightning are back up and looking like the team we thought they would be. They have won 6 of their last 10 heading into tonight and get a home game which is great considering they are 13-5-3 in the barn this season. The return of Andrei Vasilevskiy shouldn't be ignored either as he has won 12 games in 20 starts for the Lightning this season. They play the Ducks tonight as well which is a lay up considering they are one of the leagues worst teams and are injured on top of that. Give me the Lightning to win handily tonight on the Puck Line, only bet with decent value.

Seattle Kraken at Columbus Blue Jackets

I'm just going to keep riding this Kraken wagon till the wheels fall off cause damn have they stacked up some money for me lately. They come into this game winners of 10 in the last 12 games and get a team in the Blue Jackets that is already packing it in this season as they sit in the basement of their division. Home ice hasn't even helped them as they are 8-15 straight up in front of their fans this season with a -29 goal differential on the season. Hopefully Joey Daccord gets the start for the Kraken as well, he is projected to but not confirmed just yet. Daccord is on fire with a 2.23 GAA right now and the Blue Jackets offense will struggle against him. Give me the Kraken wagon on the Money Line once again!

Boston Bruins at St. Louis Blues

As a stat nerd I have confounded with the Blues this season as their success makes no sense with analytics. They don't generate scoring chances and they allow so many shots on net on the other end of the ice. They still keep winning games though and somebody needs to put this madness to rest, hello Boston Bruins! The B's play the perfect kind of hockey to take these frauds down tonight as they play great fundamental defense and beat you up front with skill and force. The Bruins have allowed just 2.8 goals per game on the road over the past month while scoring 3.1 goals a game on offense. Boston will also be extra hungry today as they have lost 3 straight games coming into tonight and I think they will snap that streak and win in regulation.

New Jersey Devils at Florida Panthers

There's always a game total to target on a slate this big and I am eyeing up the over in this matchup today! The Panthers have been notorius for their unders this season but some matchups dictate a course correction. The Devils play fast and loose and their goaltending is suspect at best. The Devils are scoring 4.6 goals per game over the past month on the road and allowing 3.4 goals, seems like they love topping the totals. The Panthers on the other hand have seen the numbers bump on offense at home with 3.2 goals scored over the last 10 home games. I will bet plenty of under game totals on the Panthers this season but not today folks!
