NFL DFS Week 14 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy

This week feels a bit more interesting than other weeks, given that we have four teams on bye, and notable wideouts like George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, Rashee Rice, Nico Collins, and A.J. Brown are all unavailable to us on the main slate! After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams.

NFL Week 14 Wide Receivers

Quick notes on the slate:

  • Teams on bye: Panthers, Patriots, Giants, 49ers
  • 3 games with a total of 47+ points
  • Highest projected ownership on DraftKings: Coming soon!
  • Highest projected ownership on FanDuel: Coming soon!
  • Highest implied team totals: Bills (28.25), Rams (27.50), Bengals (25.39), Seahawks (25.03), Bucs (24.73), Packers (24.70)

This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as we approach Sunday kickoff.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 14

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $9,000 | FanDuel: $9,800

Smith-Njigba’s 23 yards in Week 13 were the fewest he’s had in a game this season, and it marked the first time he was held to fewer than 79 yards! That’s how good he’s been this season! Minnesota didn’t threaten Seattle whatsoever, and while I have some concerns about Atlanta keeping pace with this one, I expect a better game environment than last week. Atlanta runs single-high safety looks at the second-highest rate in the league, per FantasyPoints Data, and Smith-Njigba has 3.73 yards per route run against single-high safeties this year, which is the third-best mark in the NFL amongst WRs with at least 100 routes run on the year.

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $8,200 | FanDuel: $9,100

When going at this Buffalo defense, you want a wideout who is productive against two-high safety looks, and Chase is exactly that. For the year, he’s posted 2.40 yards per route run and 0.50 fantasy points per route run against two-high safeties, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, the Bills have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers over the last six weeks, and for the season, Chase has a top-10 receiving grade, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), out of the slot. Buffalo should put up points, and if the Bills can’t get pressure on Joe Burrow, we could see a shootout!

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $6,700

Waddle hasn’t exactly been the best man-beater by any means, and that’s a bit concerning against a Jets defense that plays a ton of man coverage. However, Waddle is more talented than the guys lining up from him, and it’s hard to ignore his 32.6% first-read rate, 26.0% target share, and 3.08 yards per route run over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. Waddle does have a quality 0.28 targets per route run and 2.16 yards per route run against two-high safeties, though, per FantasyPoints Data, and that lines up well against New York’s tendency to run these looks over 60% of the time across their last five games.

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,600

In four Tyler Shough starts, Olave has posted a 14.6 average depth of target, 41.9% of the team’s air yards, a 22.1% target share, and 2.07 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. The 31.7% first read rate is strong, and his 14.6 expected fantasy points per game comes in at WR21 across the last five weeks (four games for the Saints), per FantasyPoints Data. The Saints will move Olave around, but regardless of where he lines up, it projects well for the former Ohio State star, as the Bucs have allowed the second- and seventh-most fantasy points per game to perimeter and slot receivers, respectively, over the last six weeks.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 14

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $6,900

This one is tough to trust, given how Lamar Jackson has looked of late, but receivers against Pittsburgh have been good to us for most of this year. The Steelers have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers over the last six weeks, and the second-most for the entire 2025 season, per FantasyPoints Data. Pittsburgh’s consistent usage of man coverage and single-high safety looks is great for Flowers, seeing as he’s posted 2.15 yards per route run against man coverage and 2.66 yards per route run against single-high looks this season, per FantasyPoints Data. Lamar Jackson has to get it going at some point, and Flowers is the wide receiver who can help him make it happen through the air.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $6,000

Michael Pittman has been more productive (and utilized) against two-high safeties, but I can’t ignore the fact that Pierce has an excellent 2.34 yards per route run against zone coverage, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, over the last four weeks, Pierce has 45.2% of the team’s air yards and a 20.6% first-read rate, per FantasyPoints Data. Sure, there’s a little boom-or-bust to Pierce’s game, but despite scoring just two touchdowns on the year, he’s eclipsed 65 yards in five of his last six. He’s the downfield threat in this offense, and I like the outlook against Jacksonville.

Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $6,400

Franklin led the team earlier this year against the Raiders with five receptions and nine targets. He also found the end zone in that game, and I like him to lead the Denver wideouts in fantasy points in this one. Vegas runs a zone-heavy scheme, and Franklin has a higher targets per route run mark (0.21) than Courtland Sutton (0.19) this year against zone, per FantasyPoints Data. Vegas has struggled with perimeter receivers this season, and over the last six weeks, they’ve allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to boundary receivers, per FantasyPoints Data. Franklin leads the team with a 27.3% first read rate over the last four weeks, per FantasyPoints, and I expect a rebound performance after a quiet Week 13.

NFL Week 14 DFS WR Value Picks

Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $3,700 | FanDuel: $5,500

Two Saints receivers in here this week? What is going on!? Vele has 15 targets over the last two weeks, and he’s been a full-time receiver ever since the team parted ways with veteran Brandin Cooks. Honestly, the Saints should have been doing this all along, considering what they traded to get Vele, and he’s coming off his best game of the year in Week 13. The Bucs have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game over the last four weeks to wideouts, and the expected game script should favor the New Orleans’ passing attack. More intriguing on DraftKings than FanDuel.

John Metchie, New York Jets - DraftKings: $4,500 | FanDuel: $5,700

I thought it was going to be Metchie last week, but it was an Adonai Mitchell game. Mitchell is the boom-or-bust guy here, and Metchie is the safer, more reliable option. Mitchell is the ceiling play, and Metchie is the floor play. Metchie is averaging six targets per game over the last three weeks, but his increased likelihood of going into the slot fares quite well for him against the Dolphins. Over the last six weeks, the Dolphins have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers, but the 11th-fewest to perimeter receivers, per FantasyPoints Data suite. Miami plays a ton of two-high safety looks to try to negate the big play, setting up Metchie to make a killing in this one. If you look back at Week 13, Atlanta plays the second-most single-high safety looks in the league, and Mitchell flourished. Metchie will have more fantasy points than Mitchell in Week 14. Book it.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 14

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $7,200

Justin Jefferson was featured here last week, and I almost went back to the well with him. However, I’ll pivot to someone else, and despite the potential game environment, I’m fading Metcalf HARD in Week 14. The price is somewhat reasonable on DraftKings, but on FanDuel, it’s ridiculous! How is Metcalf the 10th-highest priced wide receiver on FanDuel when his weekly finishes on FanDuel the last five weeks have been 56th, 20th, 33rd, 48th, and 82nd, per PFF? What am I missing here? He’s been held to 50 or fewer receiving yards in five straight games, and he doesn’t have a single game with six receptions this season! Combine all of that with the fact that the Ravens are about league average in defending perimeter wideouts in terms of fantasy points per game, and I just don’t see a path, particularly on FanDuel, where Metcalf pays off this price tag.

NFL Week 14 WR Play of The Week

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $7,700 | FanDuel: $8,600

Adams might be battling some hamstring tightness, but I wouldn’t expect it to put his Week 14 availability in any jeopardy. Arizona hasn’t exactly been bleeding fantasy points to receivers of late, but Adams has been a menace against two-high safeties this year, leading the Rams in targets per route run (0.34), yards per route run (2.41), and fantasy points per route run (0.86), per FantasyPoints Data. In fact, of wideouts with at least 75 routes run against two-high safety looks, Adams ranks third in targets per route run, seventh in yards per route run, and first in fantasy points per route run! He’s a touchdown machine, and no player has more red zone targets or end zone targets than Adams in 2025. Puka is in a great spot, too, but particularly on DraftKings, I’ll take the cost savings with Adams.
