| Â | Â | Â |
| Left WR vs Right CB | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Marvin Harrison | ARi | 10.8 / 9.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Trikweze Bridges | DAL | Safe |
| It’s been a disappointing start to the season for Marvin Harrison who has been the clear 2nd option in Arizona’s passing offense with a 16.5% target share. Harrison was relatively quiet leading up to the Cardinals bye, with just 4 receptions across his last two games, but he comes out of the bye with the best matchup that WRs could ask for. With additional time to prepare for this plus matchup, Harrison has a great opportunity to start the 2nd half of his season on a high note. I’ve got Harrison Jr. just inside my top 20 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Darnell Mooney | ATL | 5.4 / 4.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Christian Gonzalez | NE | Risky |
| Darnell Mooney looked like he was set up for a big day whenever teammate Drake London was ruled out but only finished with 1 reception for 11 yards on 4 targets. Mooney and backup QB Kirk Cousins were clearly not on the same page, and Mooney is also dealing with a hamstring injury himself that has him listed as a limited participant in practice to start the week. If Mooney is active, I’d be trying to stay away from him in this tough matchup against the Patriots secondary. I’ve got Mooney outside of my top 50 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| DeAndre Hopkins | BAL | 5.9 / 5.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Rasul Douglas | MIA | Moderate |
| DeAndre Hopkins finished Week 8 with just 1 catch for 14 yards on his 1 target. Hopkins has yet to have a game with more than 3 receptions and is only playing around 35% of the snaps each week. Even with Lamar Jackson expected to return this week, I would continue to avoid Hopkins in all formats regardless of matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Keon Coleman | BUF | 9.7 / 7.6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Trent McDuffie | KC | Risky |
| Keon Coleman has now had less than 5 receptions and 50 receiving yards in each game since his big Week 1. Even in an ideal matchup, Coleman is a sketchy start, so I’m doing everything I can to avoid Coleman against the Chiefs in Week 9. I’ve got Coleman just inside my top 50 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Tetairoa McMillan | CAR | 12.9 / 10.6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Carrington Valentine | GB | Moderate |
| It doesn’t matter who the QB is, the Panthers passing offense is Tetairoa McMillan and everyone else. With Andy Dalton filling in for the injured Bryce Young, McMillan still ended up with 7 receptions for 99 yards on 10 targets with no other pass catcher seeing more than 4 targets. The Packers secondary presents a difficult matchup, but I’ve still got McMillan inside my top 20 WRs due to the volume he’s seeing on a weekly basis. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| DJ Moore | CHI | 9.7 / 7.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Cam Taylor-Britt | CIN | Moderate |
| DJ Moore had his most productive game of the season with 4 receptions for 73 yards on 7 targets. Moore is still dead even with teammate Olamide Zaccheaus for the 2nd highest target share among Bears pass catchers but has been much more productive with his targets. It would make sense for the Bears to get the talented pass catcher more involved, but until they do, he remains a decent flex option. I’ve got Moore just outside of my top 30 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Ja'Marr Chase | CIN | 22.6 / 18.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Nahshon Wright | CHI | Safe |
| Ja'Marr Chase continued his insane tear that he’s been on since Joe Flacco took over as the Bengals starting QB, with 12 receptions for 91 yards on 19 targets. He’s had 42 total targets over the last 2 weeks, but Flacco could possibly miss the game due to an injury to his throwing shoulder. Chase is a must start regardless of who is at QB, especially in this plus matchup against the Chicago Bears secondary. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Isaiah Bond | CLE | Â |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| N/A | N/A | N/A |
| The Cleveland Browns are on bye in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| George Pickens | DAL | 19.2 / 16.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Max Melton | ARI | Moderate |
| George Pickens has continued to be consistently involved despite the return of teammate CeeDee Lamb, with 11 receptions and 160 receiving yards on 15 targets over the last two weeks. Operating as the 1B in this pass-heavy offense, Pickens remains a must-start on a weekly basis. The Arizona Cardinals secondary is a tough matchup, but I’ve got Pickens inside my top 10 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Courtland Sutton | DEN | 14.2 / 11.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kamari Lassiter | HOU | Moderate |
| Courtland Sutton ended up being out targeted by teammate Troy Franklin but still put up a solid day with 4 receptions for 67 yards on 6 targets. It might not have been the game fantasy managers were hoping for in such a great matchup, but with 60+ receiving yards in all but two games this year he remains a must-start. Sutton has a much more difficult matchup this week against the Texans secondary, but I’ve still got him just inside my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jameson Williams | DET | 8.7 / 7.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Isaiah Rodgers | MIN | Safe |
| Jameson Williams is coming out of the Lions bye week 3rd among Lions pass catchers with a 14.7% target share. The increased usage that fantasy managers were hoping for this season has yet to come to fruition, but he still offers the big play ability with a team high 17 yards per reception. Williams especially carries some potential upside on weeks like this one where the matchup is ideal, so I’ve got him just inside my top 30 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Romeo Doubs | GB | 12.6 / 10.6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Mike Jackson | CAR | Moderate |
| While still the WR1 for the Packers, Romeo Doubs operated as the 2nd option in the passing offense in Week 8 behind TE Tucker Kraft. Doubs finished with 3 receptions for 44 yards on 6 targets, which was a bit of a let down considering Doubs had seen at least 8+ targets in the three previous games. It looks like Doubs has a consistent role as a possession receiver and end zone threat, but Jordan Love is likely to continue to spread the ball around. I’ve got Doubs as a high-end WR4 this week in a difficult matchup against the Packers. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Nico Collins | HOU | 13.5 / 11.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kris Abrams-Draine | DEN | Moderate |
| Nico Collins began the week as a limited participant in practice and is expected to clear concussion protocol, but this is something you need to continue to monitor heading into the weekend. If Nico is active, his matchup likely won’t be as difficult as it usually is playing the Denver Broncos secondary, with star CB Pat Surtain expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a pectoral injury. Assuming he clears concussion protocol, I’ll have Collins inside my top 15 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Alec Pierce | IND | 9.4 / 7.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Darius Slay | PIT | Safe |
| Alec Pierce only had 2 receptions on 5 targets last week but continues to show his big play ability being able to rack up 69 yards on those 2 receptions. Pierce continues to battle with Josh Downs to be the 3rd option in this passing offense but needs the least amount of volume to make his presence felt. Pierce remains a high-end WR4 but carries a little more upside on weeks like this one where he has an exploitable matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Brian Thomas | JAC | 11 / 9.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kyu Kelly | LV | Safe |
| The start to the season has been less than ideal for Brian Thomas and things weren’t looking great headed into the bye where he was getting outperformed by rookie teammate Travis Hunter. BTJ still has a slight lead in target share on the season, and figures to be involved in the offense even if it’s as a 1B instead of the 1A we expected coming into this year. I’ll have BTJ inside my top 20 WRs for Week 9 with a plus matchup against the Raiders on deck. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Xavier Worthy | KC | 9.5 / 7.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Tre'Davious White | BUF | Moderate |
| Xavier Worthy looks to be settling into his role as the WR2 for the Chiefs behind Rashee Rice, competing with TE Travis Kelce to be the 2nd option in this passing offense. Worthy had 5 receptions for 53 yards on 7 targets in Week 8. Moving forward Worthy will likely be a back-end WR2 or high-end WR3 but goes into Week 9 with a little more upside in a matchup against the Bills that could turn into a shootout. I’ve got Worthy just inside my top 24 WRs this week. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Tre Tucker | LV | 14 / 11.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Greg Newsome | JAC | Safe |
| Tre Tucker is coming out of the Raiders Week 8 bye with 3 straight games with 5+ targets, but both TE Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers are expected to be healthy for the Raiders coming out of the bye as well. If Jakobi Meyers doesn’t get traded, Tucker will likely go back to being a less frequently targeted 3rd option for this passing offense. He’s got a positive matchup this week, but it’s tough to trust him without knowing if the target volume will continue to be there. I’ve got Tucker outside of my top 40 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Quentin Johnston | LAC | 14.1 / 13.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jalyn Armour-Davis | TEN | Safe |
| Quentin Johnston wasn’t targeted once in Week 8 despite playing 52% of the snaps. Johnston was recovering from a hamstring injury leading up to the game and ended up being slightly out snapped by rookie Tre Harris. We’ll be able to get a better idea if that was injury related or a trend we need to be more concerned about, but it appears that even if he gets back to be a full-time player that he’ll be behind both Ladd McConkey and rookie TE Oronde Gadsden in targets at a minimum. Due to the lack of targets and question marks about his usage, I’ve got Johnston just outside of my top 30 WRs for Week 9 despite the plus matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Davante Adams | LAR | 16.2 / 13.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kool-Aid McKinstry | NO | Safe |
| Davante Adams finished Week 7 with 5 receptions for 35 yards and 3 TDs on 8 targets. The Rams passing offense is very consolidated across the top two options – with Adams and Puka Nacua making up over 50% of the team’s total targets. Even with Puka set to return from an injury, Adams continues to be a must-start option on a weekly basis. I’ve got Adams inside my top 12 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jaylen Waddle | MIA | 14.1 / 11.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Chidobe Awuzie | BAL | Safe |
| Jaylen Waddle once again served as the WR1 for the Dolphins, finishing with 5 receptions for 99 yards and a TD on 6 targets, only being out targeted by RB De’Von Achane. Waddle has now had at least 5 receptions and 95 receiving yards in 3 of the last 4 games and should be a must start on a weekly basis. I’ve got Waddle inside my top 15 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Justin Jefferson | MIN | 16.2 / 13.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Amik Robertson | DET | Moderate |
| Justin Jefferson has had 10+ targets in 4 straight games and at least 70 receiving yards in each of those games as well. J.J. McCarthy is expected to return from injury and make his first start since Week 2, so we’ll see how the QB change affects the offense, but Jefferson is a must-start regardless of matchup or who is playing at QB. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Kayshon Boutte | NE | 12.4 / 10.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Mike Hughes | ATL | Moderate |
| Kayshon Boutte has now put together three straight strong fantasy games with at least 55 receiving yards in each game and 4 TDs over the last 3 weeks. It's unlikely that type of touchdown production continues, but Boutte continues to be a deep threat for one of the best deep passers in the NFL which makes him a worthy flex candidate on a weekly basis. This weeks matchup is tougher than most, but I’ve got Boutte just inside my top 40 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Brandin Cooks | NO | 4 / 2.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Cobie Durant | LAR | Moderate |
| Brandin Cooks has still yet to have a game with more than 30 receiving yards on the season and should continue to be avoided in all formats regardless of matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Darius Slayton | NYG | 5.4 / 4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Renardo Green | SF | Moderate |
| Darius Slayton had a team high 5 targets in Week 8, but only finished with 2 receptions for 26 yards. This was Slayton’s first game since Week 5, but he played 73% of snaps and appears to be a full-time player in the Giants offense once again. Slayton isn’t a bad stash to see if he can develop a connect with Jaxson Dart down the stretch of the season, but I would try to avoid starting him this week. I’ve got Slayton outside of my top 40 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Arian Smith | NYJ | Â |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| N/A | N/A | N/A |
| The New York Jets are on bye in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jahan Dotson | PHI | Â |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| N/A | N/A | N/A |
| The Philadelphia Eagles are on bye in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| DK Metcalf | PIT | 15.2 / 13.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Johnathan Edwards | IND | Safe |
| DK Metcalf led all Steelers pass catchers with 7 targets in Week 8 and finished with 5 receptions for 55 yards and a TD. That marks 5 TDs in the last 6 games for Metcalf, who clearly has chemistry with QB Aaron Rodgers once they get into scoring range. Metcalf also leads the Steelers with a 21% target share on the season. I’ve got DK just inside my top 15 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Kendrick Bourne | SF | 11 / 9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Deonte Banks | NYG | Safe |
| With the other 49ers pass catchers starting to get healthy, Kendrick Bourne’s role has been taking a hit the last couple of weeks. Bourne has only seen 6 total targets over the last two weeks and hasn’t had over 50 receiving yards in either game after having back-to-back games with over 142 receiving yards back in Weeks 5 and 6. Bourne should be avoided moving forward with the 49ers having their full allotment of offensive playmakers available. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jaxon Smith-Njigba | SEA | 24.4 / 20.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Marshon Lattimore | WAS | Moderate |
| Jaxon Smith-Njigba is coming out of the Seahawks Week 8 bye with an insane 34.7% target share and 45.2% first read percentage. JSN has had double digits targets and over 100 receiving yards in all but two games this season and remains a must start each week regardless of matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Emeka Egbuka | TB | Â |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| N/A | N/A | N/A |
| The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on bye in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Elic Ayomanor | TEN | 7.8 / 6.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Benjamin St-Juste | LAC | Moderate |
| Elic Ayomanor was tied for the team lead with 8 targets but finished with 4 receptions for 52 yards and was outproduced by fellow rookie Chimere Dike. Things are at least trending back in the right direction for Ayomanor, who saw more than 5 targets since Week 4 and eclipsed 50 receiving yards for the first time since Week 2. Until the offense improves, I don’t believe it’s wise to start Ayomanor, with Chimere Dike looking like the Titans WR you want to start if you must play one. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jaylin Lane | WAS | 4 / 3.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Riq Woolen | SEA | Moderate |
| Jaylin Lane only ended up playing 43% of snaps in Week 8 with top Commanders pass catchers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel both active, but Lane could once again see an increase in snaps in Week 9 with McLaurin already ruled out for the game. Despite the opportunity for increased playing time, you should avoid putting Lane in your fantasy lineup. | ||
| Â | Â | Â |
| Â | Â | Â |
| Right WR vs Left CB | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Zay Jones | ARI | 5.1 / 4.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kaiir Elam | DAL | Safe |
| The Cardinals passing offense has a clear top two options between Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr, with no other pass catcher with higher than an 11% target share. Even in a great matchup like he has this week, Zay Jones should be avoided in all formats. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Drake London | ATL | 17 / 13.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Carlton Davis | NE | Risky |
| Drake London and starting QB Micheal Penix Jr. both ended up inactive for the Falcons Week 8 matchup against the Dolphins. Drake London and Penix were both limited in practice to start the week, so London’s status will need to be monitored headed into a difficult Week 9 matchup with the New England Patriots secondary. London’s team high 29.2% target share and consistent opportunities on a weekly basis will still have him inside my top 15 WRs for this week. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rashod Bateman | BAL | 5.2 / 4.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jack Jones | MIA | Safe |
| Rashod Bateman caught 2-of-4 targets for 51 yards in Week 8, which was the first time he had surpassed 50 receiving yards since Week 3. Getting Lamar Jackson is a positive for Bateman, but he’s still the third option at-best in an offense that is last in the league in passing attempts per game. Bateman should be avoided in all formats. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Joshua Palmer | BUF | 6.2 / 5.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jaylen Watson | KC | Risky |
| Joshua Palmer missed last weeks game and has started out this week missing practice due to an ankle injury. Even if he ends up being active, Palmer should be avoided in all formats. This would remain true for Tyrell Shavers as well should Palmer miss the Bills Week 9 game. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Xavier Legette | CAR | 7.8 / 6.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Keisean Nixon | GB | Risky |
| After his big game two weeks ago, Xavier Legette came back down to earth with 2 receptions for 17 yards on 3 targets. Until we see consistent production from Legette as the Panthers WR2, he should be avoided in all formats – especially in the difficult matchup ahead this week. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rome Odunze | CHI | 16.3 / 14.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| DJ Turnber | CIN | Moderate |
| After a couple of down weeks, Rome Odunze got back on track in Week 8 with 7 receptions for 114 yards on 10 targets, which is just one less than the number of targets he saw in the previous two weeks combined. Odunze missed practice on Wednesday with a heel injury, so keep an eye on his availability headed into the weekend. If active, Odunze will be inside my top 10 WRs for Week 9 and remains a must-start option. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Tee Higgins | CIN | 10.6 / 9.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jaylon Jones | CHI | Safe |
| Tee Higgins only had 1 reception on 2 targets in Week 8, but thankfully it was a 44-yard TD that saved fantasy managers that chose to start Higgins have he had 18 combined targets the previous two weeks. Joe Flacco potentially missing the Bengals Week 9 matchup have more of an effect on Higgins than teammate Ja'Marr Chase, but I’ve still got Higgins just inside my top 24 WRs for the week due to the beatable matchup in front of him this week. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jerry Jeudy | CLE | Â |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| N/A | N/A | N/A |
| The Cleveland Browns are on bye in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| CeeDee Lamb | DAL | 16.8 / 17.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Will Johnson | ARI | Risky |
| CeeDee Lamb continues to not miss a step since returning from injury, with another 7 receptions for 74 yards on 10 targets in Week 8. This was an increase in both targets and receptions from the previous week, and Lamb is right back to the must-start option he was prior to his injury. I’ve got Lamb inside my top 5 WRs for Week 9 despite the tough matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Marvin Mims | DEN | 7.7 / 6.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Derek Stingley | HOU | Risky |
| Marvin Mims followed up his best game of the year with a goose egg, with 0 receptions on 1 target. He also left the game late in the 4th quarter with a concussion that he suffered on a kickoff return, so his status is in question for this week. Even if he’s active, Mims shouldn’t be trusted against this tough Texans secondary. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Kalif Raymond | DET | 3.2 / 3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Byron Murphy | N/A | Safe |
| The WR3 role for the Detroit Lions has rotated between back and forth between Kalif Raymond and Isaac TeSlaa, but this is not a productive role for fantasy regardless since the Lions WR3 is going to be the 5th option in the passing offense at best. Raymond should be avoided even in this plus matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Christian Watson | GB | 12.5 / 10.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Jaycee Horn | CAR | Risky |
| Christian Watson had a really solid season debut after missing the first 7 weeks of the season due to injury, with 4 receptions for 85 yards on 4 targets. Watson played 56% of snaps and immediately reminded us of his field stretching ability with 21.25 yards per catch on the week. While the immediate impact was encouraging, I’m expecting Watson to continue to be the boom-or-bust option he’s been the majority of his career. It’s likely to be more bust than boom against Jaycee Horn and this tough Panthers secondary. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Xavier Hutchinson | HOU | 8 / 6.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Riley Moss | DEN | Moderate |
| Xavier Hutchinson had his most productive game of the season with Nico Collins out last week, finishing with 5 receptions for 69 yards and a TD on 6 targets. With Nico expected to return, and rookie slot WR Jaylin Noel starting to emerge, I would expect Hutchison to go back to being the 3rd or 4th option in the Texans passing offense with the possibility that he gets leapfrogged by rookie Jayden Higgins. I would avoid Hutchinson this week. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Michael Pittman | IND | 15.7 / 13 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Joey Porter | PIT | Moderate |
| Michael Pittman had yet another productive game in Week 8 where he led the team with 9 targets and finished with 8 receptions for 95 yards and a TD. Pittman has had 9 receptions in back-to-back games and is up to a team-leading 22.2% target share, just outpacing rookie TE Tyler Warren. Pittman has a pretty favorable matchup against the Steelers this week and is a top 12 WR for me in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Dyami Brown | JAC | 7.3 / 5.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Eric Stokes | LV | Moderate |
| Dyami Brown is coming out of the Jaguars bye 5th among pass catchers with a 11.8% target share and has not had more than 2 receptions since Week 2. He’s also opening this week limited in practice with a shoulder injury, but even if he’s active you shouldn’t be starting him. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Hollywood Brown | KC | 11 / 8.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Christian Benford | BUF | Moderate |
| As expected, Hollywood Brown’s production has taken a big hit with the return of Rashee Rice, finishing Week 8 without a reception on only one target. Brown now has only 2 receptions for 14 yards since Rice’s return and should be avoided moving forward as he’s expected to be the 4th option in the Chiefs passing offense at best the majority of weeks. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Dont'e Thornton | LV | 2.1 / 2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Travis Hunter | JAC | Moderate |
| Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Jack Bech have been rotating as the WR opposite of Tre Tucker, but neither should be started in fantasy. Thornton Jr. hasn’t caught a pass since Week 3 and should be avoided in all formats. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Keenan Allen | LAC | 15.4 / 12.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Darrell Baker | TEN | Safe |
| After a big game in Week 7, Keenan Allen was pretty quiet in Week 8 with 4 receptions for 44 yards on 5 targets. Allen only played a season-low 25% of snaps, so we’ll need to monitor if that was due to the lead they played with for the majority of the game or a trend we need to pay more attention to due to the improved play of Ladd McConkey and emergence of TE Oronde Gadsden. Allen has a plus matchup this week but is just outside of my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Puka Nacua | LAR | 24.6 / 20.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Quincy Riley | NO | Moderate |
| Puka Nacua is expected to be healthy coming out of the Rams Week 8 bye and was absolute smashing prior to leaving the Rams Week 6 game with an ankle injury. In the 5 games that Nacua has completed, he’s had at least 8 receptions, 9 targets, and 85+ yards in each game. Puka immediately goes back to a must-start option and a top 3 WR on a weekly basis. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Nick Westbrook-Ikhine-Ikhine | MIA | 1.8 / 1.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Nate Wiggins | BAL | Moderate |
| Nick Westbrook-Ikhine-Ikhine has yet to have more than 3 receptions or 20 receiving yards in a game this season, and should be avoided in all formats regardless of matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Jordan Addison | MIN | 17.5 / 14.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Terrion Arnold | DET | Safe |
| Jordan Addison had his least productive outing of the season in Week 8, finishing with 3 receptions for 26 yards on 4 targets but saved his fantasy day with a TD. J.J. McCarthy is expected to return from injury this week, which will be the first time this season Addison and McCarthy have had the opportunity to get on the field together during a regular season game. It’s somewhat of a mystery what this offense will look like moving forward, but I’m still expecting Addison to be the #2 option for the Vikings passing offense. I’ve got Addison Just inside my top 30 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Mack Hollins | NE | 6.4 / 6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| A.J. Terrell | ATL | Risky |
| Mack Hollins had some surprising production in Week 8, finishing with 7 receptions for 89 yards on 7 targets, all of which were easily season highs. Hollins played a season-high 72% of snaps, so we’ll have to keep an eye on if there’s some flex appeal here moving forward with how well Drake Maye is playing. For now I would just be stashing Hollins instead of playing him, especially in a tough matchup against the Atlanta secondary. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rashid Shaheed | NO | 12.1 / 9.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Darious Williams | LAR | Risky |
| Rashid Shaheed was tied for the team lead with 12 targets in Week 8 and finished with 9 receptions for 75 yards. Shaheed slightly outpaced Chris Olave once the Saints benched Spencer Rattler in favor of rookie Tyler Shough, but we’ll need a bigger sample to get a better idea of what the rookie QB’s tendencies are going to be. Shaheed is likely to be a top two option regardless of how it shakes out. Shaheed has also been a popular name in trade rumors, so that’ll be something else to monitor with the trade deadline less than a week away. Shaheed opened the week as a limited participant in practice, so his status will need to be monitored. If he plays, I’ll likely have Shaheed just outside of my top 40 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Lil'Jordan Humphrey | NYG | 3.2 / 3.8 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Deommodore Lenoir | SF | Moderate |
| Lil’Jordan Humphrey was not targeted in Week 8 despite playing 63% of snaps. Humphrey should be avoided in all formats if he’s once again elevated from the practice squad prior to the Giants Week 9 matchup. | ||

| Roman Wilson | PIT | 3.6 / 5.3 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Mekhi Blackmon | IND | Safe |
| Roman Wilson had easily his most involvement in the Steelers passing offense in Week 8 with a career high 4 receptions for 74 yards on 5 targets and scored his first career touchdown. While an encouraging development, Wilson is someone you should only be stashing and not starting off his big game. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Ricky Pearsall | SF | 14.6 / 12.1 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Cordale Flott | NYG | Moderate |
| It looked like things might be trending toward Ricky Pearsall making his first appearance since he left the 49ers Week 4 matchup against Jacksonville with a knee injury, but was unable to practice to begin the week. Pearsall’s status will need to be monitored throughout the remainder of the week, but I’d prefer to hold off on starting him in his first game back if Pearsall does end up playing. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Tory Horton | SEA | 6.3 / 5.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Trey Amos | WAS | Moderate |
| Some early season production that Tory Horton had started to fade heading into the Seahawks bye, with Horton being held without a catch the last two weeks. Horton has flashed some big play ability during his rookie season, but should be avoided in all formats until we see consistent production. | ||

| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Van Jefferson | TEN | 3.5 / 3.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Cam Hart | LAC | Safe |
| Van Jefferson finished with only 1 reception for 6 yards despite being targeted 8 times. Although he’s seen an increase in snaps due to the Calvin Ridley injury, Jefferson should not be started in any format. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Luke McCaffrey | WAS | 6.4 / 5.7 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Josh Jobe | SEA | Moderate |
| Despite both Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel being active, Luke McCaffrey played over 50% of snaps for the 2nd straight game and finished with 3 receptions for 24 yards on 3 targets. With McLaurin inactive once again this week, McCaffrey should continue to see a similar number of snaps but shouldn’t be trusted in your fantasy lineup. | ||

| Slot WR vs Slot CB | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Zay Flowers | BAL | 14.2 / 11.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Minkah Fitzpatrick | MIA | Safe |
| Zay Flowers has been the only somewhat reliable Ravens pass catcher during Lamar Jackson’s absence, and Week 8 was no different. Flowers finished with 7 receptions for 63 yards on 9 targets and has now seen 8 or more targets in 5 of 7 games this season. Flowers stands the benefit the most from his QB’s return from injury, and I’ve got him as a borderline top 15 WR for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Khalil Shakir | BUF | 12.2 / 9.9 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Chamarri Conner | KC | Moderate |
| Khalil Shakir has been involved consistently, with at least 5 targets in every game since Week 4, and a season high 88 receiving yards last week against Carolina. Even though Shakir has been getting consistent targets, Allen is still spreading the ball around like he usually does. Nobody on this team has a target share over 20%, and there’s three different players with a target share of at least 15%. In a matchup against a Chiefs defense that’s given up the 3rd lowest amount of fantasy points per game to slot WR’s, I’ve got Shakir just inside my top 40 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Amon-Ra St. Brown | DET | 21.8 / 18.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Josh Metellus | MIN | Safe |
| Amon-Ra St. Brown has been on an absolute tear yet again this season, leading the Lions in target share, receiving yards per game, receiving touchdowns, and first read percentage. St. Brown remains a must start coming out of the bye, especially in this beatable matchup against the Minnesota Vikings secondary. I’ve got St. Brown as a top 5 WR for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Travis Hunter | JAC | 9.5 / 7.5 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Darnay Holmes | LV | Safe |
| Things looked like the were trending in the right direction for Travis Hunter heading into the Jaguars Week 8 bye whenever he had 8 receptions for 101 yards on 14 targets – all of which were season highs and he had his first career receiving TD to that as well. Over the last two weeks, Hunter has a team high 85% route percentage, 22% target share, and 27% first read percentage. Hunter is set up to smash coming out of his bye going up against a Raiders team that’s given up the 2nd highest points per game to slot WRs on the season. I’ve got Hunter inside my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Rashee Rice | KC | 24.4 / 20.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Taron Johnson | BUF | Safe |
| Rashee Rice continued his hot start to the season with 9 receptions for 93 yards and a TD on 9 targets. Since returning from his suspension, Rice now has 16 receptions for 135 receiving yards and 3 TDs on 19 targets in just two weeks. Rice has resumed his role as the clear top option for QB Patrick Mahomes and is a must-start regardless of matchup. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Ladd McConkey | LAC | 13.9 / 11.2 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Kevin Winston | TEN | Safe |
| After a slower start to the season, Ladd McConkey appears to be back on track as the Chargers top WR. McConkey has had 9+ targets in 3 straight games and has 3 TDs in the last 4 games. While I don’t expect that TD rate to continue, I do expect the targets to continue to be there. McConkey was limited with a calf injury to start the week but if he ends up being active McConkey will be a top 12 WR for me in Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Stefon Diggs | NE | 12.6 / 10 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Dee Alford | ATL | Moderate |
| Stefon Diggs finished Week 8 with only 3 receptions and 14 yards on 5 targets but saved his day with a receiving TD. Diggs production has been somewhat inconsistent with how much Drake Maye spreads the ball around, but he has had at least 5 targets in 4 of the last 5 games. Diggs is just inside my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Chris Olave | NO | 14.9 / 11.6 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Quentin Lake | LAR | Moderate |
| Chris Olave had another high target game in Week 8, finishing with 8 receptions for 63 yards on 12 targets. Olave has now had double digit targets in all but two games this season, but the Saints made a QB change during the game last week and are sticking with rookie QB Tyler Shough this week as well. We’ll have to see how the QB change affects the offense, but it’s hard to see a world where Olave isn’t heavily involved regardless of who is throwing the ball. I’ve got Olave just inside my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Wan'Dale Robinson | NYG | 12.8 / 10.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Upton Stout | SF | Moderate |
| Just to put into perspective how bad of a week it was for the Giants passing offense, Wan’Dale Robinson was the team’s leading receiver with 48 receiving yards. Robinson brought in 3 of his 4 targets, and this was the first time Robinson had less than 7 targets since Week 4. Robinson is just inside my top 30 WRs for Week 9. | ||
| Wide Receiver | Team | DK / FD PPG |
| Deebo Samuel | WAS | 14 / 11.4 |
| Cornerback | Opp | Matchup |
| Devon Witherspoon | SEA | Safe |
| After missing one game due to an injury, Deebo Samuel returned in Week 8 in a tough matchup against Kansas City and finished with 3 receptions for just 11 yards on 6 targets. With Terry McLaurin already ruled out for Week 9, Deebo could see increased usage similar to what he saw at the beginning of the season while McLaurin was missing games. Deebo Samuel is just inside my top 24 WRs for Week 9. | ||
